Stuff you haven't tried on a cruise...

but think you might want to?

I'm thinking of trying some different things on my next cruise. I always tell myself I'm going to do the following but never do.

Karaoke- I sit and listen and sing along but I've never got up there and did a song.

Mini Golf- don't know why I haven't.

Spa- I've always wanted to book a spa treatment. Usually its the price that keeps me from doing so. Yeah I have the money but it's the principal on the price. I want to get a scalp massage those things feel AMAZING.

Water Slide- I haven't done so because I think I would look silly being a 32 year old woman going down a water slide.. lol.

and finally I tell myself I'm going to try a new drink but I end up going with my good ol' favorite onboard... KISS ON THE LIPS.

So what about the rest of you?

32 Year old (Young) woman look silly ??!!??

How silly do you think it will look when I slide down at 60 years old??:eek::eek:

It's there for fun and as long as you get a laugh then it was worth it regardless of what others think.

As my girls say ... "Just go for it"

LOL

Let's face it...how many people do you really know on your cruise and quite frankly...who cares?? You're on vacation, knock your socks off. Dare to be silly and have a great time! :p

At 60 I almost hate to admit it but I have nothing left to do - I have been there and done almost everything I can think of. My husband and I never hit the sheets until at least 1:30 - 2 AM any given evening. We always go to the late night comedian - then for a drink - then maybe the casino and then up to the 11th deck for a dance in the moonlight (he hums as he can't sing worth a hoot) and then beddy bye to start all over again the next day. Oh, the one thing I do want to try is zip lining - I will look into this one in February. I will continue to order room service - love the idea of ordering a pot of coffee for first thing in the AM and their BLTs are great. There are some things I won't do and one is Karaoke as I sing even worse than my husband. I figure I will try ALMOST anything at least once as long as it doesn't kill me, although I have had my life flash before my eyes on more than one occasion.

I want to try the tea time! Martini and wine tastings and the water slide!

I HAVE NEVER DONE HIGH TEA - the martini and wine tasting are worth it and a lot of fun - you meet some really great people. If you haven't taken part in Trivia it is also a lot of fun - not so much for participation as watching others - the old folks cheat like sheets (oops, I'm old but I don't cheat) and are so obvious about it - love watching them looking over at other peoples answers. I go to watch some of the games shows just for a hoot, although the newly wed game is getting really old.

I've tried most of the things mentioned above...but cruise #10 is coming up in just a few weeks and I have never been to the spa on any ship!

I get claustrophobic when people are all in my space, hate even going to salons, but I would love to try those heated loungers or rasual rooms on some of the ships!

I'm a 42 year old man going down the slide I guarantee a 32 year old woman is a lot better going down the slide. Haven't done stake house, chefs table our martini tasting, but plan on it in 5 days. Done karaoke at a friends party so know better than to do on a cruise. Dancing with the love of your life on a cruise is a must whether to a band or to the stars.

I was 29 on last cruise (30 now) and me and 3 of my cruisemates (ages 22-27) went down the waterslide last cruise because we felt like we just had to try it. Ahaha 32 is not old. At least I hope not because it means I am almost there.

oh, take her up to the 11th deck or one of the secret decks and hum your song and dance as if no one is watching - she will love you for it. Works with me every time - going on 32 years

I lost my karaoke virginity last month on the cruise where I lost my cruise-ginity!

Next cruise I will do the slide. And maybe actually be a little more adventurous with food. I tend to stick to what I know, but the cruise is a great opportunity to try new things without any extra out of pocket cost.

I'm 23 and too embarrassed to go down the slide :o Its the one thing I always say I'm going to do, and then I never do. I'm going to try during my upcoming cruise, but I may lose my nerve.

serious? last cruise, my 75 yr old father went down! he wasn't going to let his 6 grandkids show him up!

My next cruise, I'm going to try something and hang out around the bottom of the slide and watch 40 yr old ladies tops come off. Oh wait, I did that last cruise...;)

I'm reaching the magic 65 this coming year and I am sure that my great nieces and nephews won't let me "not" slide, and they will probably try and get me on the rope course, though if they have a weight limit I may not make it (upper not lower). Over the past few years I have parasailed, zip lined, snorkled, and done the mini race cars in which it took two hunky kids to pull me out of.

I actually need to try some of the more cerebral pastimes like trivia and I may give bingo a try (for the first time ever). I also am thinking of passing up a port day and seeing what the ship has to offer that day, though the kids will probably try to drag me to some activity on shore.

I'm with you. I hate to be touched by strangers but the heated loungers are really appealing.
