At 7pm we all headed down to the Piazza to take formal night pictures.

Aaron trying to set up Caleigh for a picture. It was tough to get her to stay in one place. They did end up getting some really nice pictures of her.

After dinner we went back to the cabin to change into something more comfortable. Allison & Jodi went to the casino and Dave, Aaron, Felicia & I went to watch The Dark Night Rises on MUTS. When we got up there the place was packed. We didn't all get to sit beside each other. Caleigh wasn't going to sleep and because I knew Aaron really wanted to watch the movie I took her and walked around the ship trying to get her to go to sleep. We ended up back in my cabin and she fell asleep almost right away in my bed. This ended up being my night to babysit. I was ok with that as I was tired from the sun.

Dave & I woke up around 8am and went down to the jewellery store to pick up his Invicta watch which had been resized. We then went for breakfast at the buffet. While eating Dave said "I feel like I have a hula hoop on my wrist". So, after breaky we went back to the jewellery store to ask them to make it a little smaller. They had no problem doing it and resized it on the spot. As I said before, the employees of the jewellery store were fabulous.

While we were at the store there was a fashion show going on in the Piazza

Up at Neptune's Reef Pool the golf chipping competition was going on

Still really enjoying your review. What a nice thing to come home and read after a stressful Monday at work.

Loved your St. Thomas pictures. I haven't been there since the 80's. I will be there on a cruise again in December of 2013. I'm really looking forward to it.

I have to say, your review is one of my favorites.:)

Thank you so much Michelle! I am working this evening and have a light night, so I was planning on taking the time to post more. The problem is I forgot my notes at home and don't want to forget anything. For that reason I'm going to have to wait to add more.

We were in St. Thomas off of the Carnival Paradise (back when it was a non-smoking ship:)) in March 2001, and we asked the taxi driver to take us to a nice beach. We ended up at the same beach, the Sapphire beach. What we remember most about it (besides the beautiful water and our 3-yr-old playing with some of her fellow Camp Carnival friends that also came there), was that my hubby got snubbed at the resort's outdoors bar. The bartender ignored him even after hubby tried to get his attention, so he seemed to know that we weren't staying at the resort. Hubby finally walked over to a nearby convenience store to get us sodas.

You have some beautiful photos and enjoying the details (my girl, now 15, keeps asking about the entertainment as we haven't yet gotten that email about an upcoming cruise on another ship).

.

One of the highlights of the cruise was Saturday night was smoking a cigar with Al Katz (the comedian) in the Speakeasy cigar lounge after his show. We smoked and talked for about a half hour. He really was a cool guy. Wife and I enjoyed his show earlier.

Al is a good friend, i am going to send him the link to your review so he can read your nice comments.

I see when you left St. Thomas you passed Water Island and that picture of the beach is our favorite - Honeymoon Bay.... We take a water taxi there $5 each way and head to the beach.

A few years ago we went to see a hockey game while in FLL it was interesting to go to a game in shorts/flip flops and the place was empty. Got tickets last minute with parking for like $40 total!

I am enjoying your review and thank you so much for sharing.

Awww, what happened to Caleigh's left cheek? Looks a little red in the pictures but still sooo cute and happy! She's definitely rocking it out in her formal clothes!

She had a little baby acne. It cleared up by the end of the trip. The formal pictures they bought of her, the crew were able to clean up so you couldn't see the red marks.

We arrived at Grand Turk at 12:30pm. Because we were docking later in the day, we were told everyone will probably want to get off right away. The crew said everybody trying to leave the ship at the same time would cause a big back log. For this reason they asked everyone who had no immediate plans on the island to wait until 1pm to leave the ship. Because we didn't have anything planned, we waited until 1pm to get off.

We got some loungers close to the ship under some trees for shade. Aaron, Dave & I did a little snorkelling and went as far out as we were allowed. To the buoys close to the ship. You can see where the sea floor was dredged to allow ships to pull up that close to the island. The water is about 10 feet deep and then all of a sudden it just drops off to a black hole. I wish I had an underwater camera.

After swimming for a while, Dave & I were getting hungry and wanted to check out The Local Village. That's the bar we saw as we were pulling into port. The bar is about a 5 minute walk down the beach from the pier. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. We each had an order of Conch Fritters ($3.50) and Jerk Chicken with rice, salad & fried plantains ($12). We each also had a local beer, Turk's Head ($3.50). We enjoyed the fritters so much that we ordered seconds. The bar had free wifi and this was the first time I used my phone all trip. I was able to send some messages to family at home to let them know we were having a great time. And yes, I updated my Facebook status.

While we were eating everyone else went looking through the stores at the pier. Jodi had been looking for a ring but hadn't found one she really liked. She finally found one at Milano and purchased one for the right price (I don't know the price).

On our way back to the ship we walked through Margaritaville. There you can swim in a fresh water pool, surf the Flowrider and/or eat & drink at the bar. I am most definitely going to try the Flowrider when I'm on the Oasis of the Seas next year.

We got back to the ship around 4:30 and met everyone at the Calypso Pool. While swimming, Moonrise Kingdom was playing on MUTS. That was one weird movie. It then started to rain and again, like earlier in the week, everyone ran for cover. It was raining pretty hard so we went down to the cabins after the movie was over. As the ship was leaving it was raining hard and there was lightning.

As we were leaving for dinner Caleigh was starting to not feel very well. We thought it was because she may have digested some salt water, but little did we know it was the start of the Norovirus.
