Does anyone know what new things will be added to the Enchantment while in dry dock? Looking forward to our NYRs cruise!

DECK 4..............Totally demolishing the marble - making it flat and adding new R BAR!!!!

DECK 6..............Loyalty desk is moving to where the art program is right now....

Deck 6...............Opposite Cafe Latitudes will be the internet cafe/library shelves

Deck 7...............4 cabins will be added on both Port and Starboard side and will replace what was the library/loyalty areas

Deck 8...............4 cabins will be added on both Port and Starboard side and will replace what was concierge/i-cafe

Deck 9...............BIG FLAT SCREEN on Pool Deck

Deck 11.............Concierge Lounge will be relocated from Deck 8 to the back part of VCL

Deck 11............."NEW" Diamond Lounge will be at top part of VCL

I believe that Park Cafe will be replacing the Solarium Cafe on Deck 9.

We cruised on the Enchantment last August and many new casino slots were being installed at that time. Those new slots were not working during our cruise but truly, many were being installed. The virtual Black Jack was removed and they installed a virtual Roulette.........

Nice changes and up dates. It will also be nice to have a few more on board to compete for WJ and Theater seating. The stretch did a lot for that situation and adding 16 more staterooms will even make it better.

That was my first thought as well when I saw they were adding MORE cabins!

I believe from what I have read that it will get the same things that Splendor and Grandure have which you can see on RCCLs sight.

It will add great features to an already great ship. We sailed last December on her and had a great time. As it moves to Port Canaveral it will add a lot of new features to the shorter itinerarys which Monarch has been doing and expose some of the newer cruisers to the things we all love about RCCL

Happy sailing

The addition of the Park Cafe will help with the Windjammer. You can go online and see the deck plan...a rather large area by the Spa. As for the theater????? Guess we will have to wait and see what happens there.

I wish! The machines in there are TIRED!

Just off Enchantment yesterday and spoke to the Casino Host, Alex. No big changes to the casino and no new machines. He mentioned the new machines a little while ago. Expecting new carpet and some paint but that's about it.

Am I looking at something the wrong way? The new deck plans that I see, show changes as of April 2013... which is when she moves, right? Why does it not show the changes as of 2 weeks from now?

Not sure, but Enchantment is definitely in drydock. I see the same thing on the website, but the changes will be made for the Dec. 15 voyage. April 2013 is when she moves to Port Canaveral. She'll be missed in Baltimore.

One additional change is pervasive wi-fi on the ship, which will be helpful if you bring your own laptop. The RC Online computers were often on the fritz, so it'll be nice to be able to connect from your stateroom.

Royal has a problem with timely, accurate updates to the website.

Good question. I noticed two sets of plans..12/15 to 4/13 and then a set for 4/13. The 12/15 plan does show the Park Cafe but does not show the new staterooms or relo of the Library, Internet cafe, LA, or CL. Not sure if that means the changes will not be completed by 12/15 or if it is just bad info???

Found where I originally saw mention of it:

Goldstein offered a rough schedule for the 2012 rollout, though he added, “due to possible unforeseen delays, this date may shift.” The current schedule is as follows: Explorer of the Seas (August), Freedom of the Seas (September), Oasis of the Seas (October), Allure of the Seas (November) and Enchantment of the Seas (December). The number of machines on any given ship will depend on ship size, but Goldstein said, “The initial deployment schedule will target high-volume areas and select common areas inside. We may add more, or move locations once we see the realities of traffic flow and guest use.”

FINGERS CROSSED!

Just off Enchantment and there was no mention of the freestyle machines as part of the refurbishment.

My friend is who is on Enchanment in May said he got an email mentioning Starbucks and ship wife WIFI. He checks his internet business while cruising to the latter was good news to him.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Enchantment, the stretch added Boleros, etc. But adding even more pax and less public space is getting to be too much.

Kind of makes me glad that the totally refurb'd Grandeur is coming back to Baltimore.
