the "Nieuw Amsterdam" from Holland America, December 1950 trans Atlantic. Sure I was just a child but you asked for the "first" and my Dad said he spent the whole time chasing after me up and down stairs as my Mom lay in her bunk with sea sickness for the whole 10 days.

1999, Carnival Tropicale. We did a 5 day Western Caribbean out of Tampa. We didn't know if we'd like it!!!!! We immediately wished we would have booked at least a 7 day. :)

First cruise was the Carnival Imagination in 2009 4 day to Key West and Cozumel. We did a short cruise to "try it out" in case we didn't like it. Well we were hooked and now try and do 7 day cruises whenever we can.

My first cruise was with some fellow graduates on the SS Miami out of Miami in 1967. 4 nights that became 5 when a boiler quit.

Been hooked on cruising ever since.

2003 Carnival Glory, thought cruising was the perfect vacation, ports to visit and time to trelax and unwind. Have been fortunate to cruise ever since and even met my significant other on my 2007 cruise on the Miracle! :D:D:D

1989 Costa Riveria to St Thomas, St Martin and Nassau. I was 18, it was a family cruise and I've never looked back! Now my son loves cruising. He started at age 3 on the Celebrity Century and has been on all of my cruises after that except one. Yeah, he's spoiled and is becoming a balcony snob:eek:

Nov. 10, 2012...our 1st cruise on the Carnival Dream...loved, loved, loved it...don't know why we waited so long...oh yes, there will be a 2nd cruise...

For me it was Carnival Victory out of Miami in January of 2001 when she was only a couple of months old. Seahorses!

 

Ports of call were San Juan, PR; Frederikstad, St. Croix USVI and Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas USVI.

 

St. Croix was my favorite port from that cruise - Carnival should really go back.

First cruise was on the Destiny in 1999 when she was first ported in Miami.

Went to San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Croix. I was hooked the minute she went to the turnaround and did a complete 180 on a dime. At the time, she was the biggest cruise ship afloat.

Early 90s...Big Red Boat (I think it was the Oceanic). We sailed out of Port Canaveral and did the 3 day cruise/4 day Disney World package. Disney Characters were onboard and we all had a blast!
