Hello,

 

I have a question.

 

If you return from port to the ship, is there still a table with cold towels and cold water next to the ship? We like this very much. We think this is very friendly.

 

Somebody on a Dutch website wrote this has been dissapeared (cost saving). And end of this month we are sailing on Eclipse.

We just got off the Infinity and ice cold towels and water were available at all ports.

They were available on the Eclipse during our 17 Nov - 1 Dec Southern Caribbean cruise.

Yes – it is a nice touch. Maybe it is driven by the specific port and is the practice in warm weather ports.

Warm towels and hot chocolate were awaiting us on chilly port days on our Baltic cruise AND...

last year in Costa Rica when a "monsoon" blew in and soaked us to the bone!

Cold towels in warm weather and hot chocolate in cold weather!! Love it!

These are available at each port but only after a certain time. If you go off ship soon after it has docked and return fairly early, they often haven't set this up. It is not that they don't do it , but it is done later in the day.

The iced towels and cold drinks were certainly available on the Century last October. They even set up such a station inside the Honolulu cruise ship terminal where the ship over-nighted.
