Kiwi Kruzer Posted February 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2013 A shot from Sun Princess of Radiance of the Seas anchored in Akaroa Harbour. There will be about 4000 passengers and 1,600 crew descending on the small holiday town .

Makes up for lost business on cruise ships, like ours, which miss the port because of weather conditions. On my next land visit to NZ, I'll definitely include Akaroa! NSWP Posted February 26, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 26, 2013 Nice shot, we will be at Akaroa on Celebrity Solstice soon. Does anybody know if it is a long tender in from the ship to the pier?
Rare MMDown Under Posted February 26, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 26, 2013 Nice shot, we will be at Akaroa on Celebrity Solstice soon. Does anybody know if it is a long tender in from the ship to the pier? They anchor in a bay and it didn't look a long tender, when we didn't stop there on Celebrity Century. Google - akaroa nz map, which shows a natural harbour.

Does anybody know if it is a long tender in from the ship to the pier? No, its not a long tender ride, I think its about a 5 - 10 min tender ride.
