Need to kill some time in Orlando

We'll have a late flight out of Orlando so I'm looking for some suggestions for something to do in Orlando, otherwise my hubby will want to go straight from the ship to the airport...UGH!!

We've already seen Cape Canaveral and we'll have my MIL with us so anything with LOTS of walking is out. Since we'll have had beach days in Nassau & Freeport I don't want to go to the beach....any suggestions?

Are there children in your party? What day of the week are you talking about?

The Orlando Museum of Art is a nice place to spend a few hours.

In downtown Orlando is Lake Eola park. There are a number of good restaurants in the area, ample free parking on weekends. You can rent paddle or electric boats, feed the swans (please only give them the pellets from the vending machines!), and on some days, enjoy a concert or other performance in the band shell.

Get a day room at the Hyatt at the airport. You can hang out at the pool all day, will have a room to store luggage and nap and then grab your flight. They are around $100 last time I checked.

Otherwise, I would rent a car and drive to Downtown Disney. Get a wheelchair for MIL and shop and have lunch. Return rental at airport and grab your flight.

When we had a late flight we drove to Celebration, just great for a lazy day. Some good restaurants and a great hotel for drinks on the terrace.

You can sit on a rocking chair by the lake and rest or do a little shopping for those who want to walk a little.

I know this is something my daughter would probably enjoy. This is the free part outside Disney World, right? I've never been so any additional information would be appreciated. I assume we'd probably at least have to pay for parking?

This should answer all your questions. Parking is free.

There's also a great movie theater in DD, which serves food and drinks (including alcohol) to your seats (waiters). And the kids will love Disney Quest, also in DD.
