gospelle Posted March 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2013 Seriously now Carnival, this is an amateur mistake. Given almost half of your guests are Canadian you'd think you'd know by now that our postal codes have letters in them. Why on earth then do you even bother to ask what country I'm from during the payment section on your store website if you don't allow letters in the postal code section and then make that field mandatory. Come on! Do you want my money or not? Anyone know a workaround for this? I'd like to buy a bottle of vodka/kaluha for my stateroom and the gift purchase on their website is the only way I know how to do this as they do not sell bottles onboard. The dude needs his white russians man!
chrixxlax Posted March 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2013 We called them for our cruise this past Feb. I don't have the number handy, but google Carnival Bon Voyage and call them.

hancogran Posted March 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2013 If you're logged into your Carnival account, you don't need to enter your address. I'm from Canada too and ordered online from Bon Voyage last week for an upcoming cruise and had no problem. You need to enter your name and booking # if I remember correctly. I know you can call too but at times it's a lengthy wait and it's so much quicker doing it on line. :)
what to go here and there Posted March 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2013 i found a way around that issue for anything with zip codes to finish the transaction i just use 90201( dream big on a beer wage) as a zip code instead of our postal code. I do this for just payments if needed. works for me on the Bon Voyage site. :D:D
gospelle Posted March 19, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted March 19, 2013 Call the Bon Voyage Department and order at: 1-800-522-7648 I did. thank you. they said I should enter 00000. Clearly it's not used for the visa billing authorization. Which begs the question... Why even bother asking for it if it's not used for anything. and another question, If it's a known issue (the girl on the phone apparently gets this complaint all the time) why not put a note right there on the website?? frik! Just put something in the box that is accepted. Good luck. Kevin C

Both excellent questions. Why on earth would they not fix it the first time the complaint arose? A note would be good, but rather, why not either remove the request or allow for Canadian/foreign entry? It is a single line of code that would take about a minute to fix live. They should be embarrassed. Kevin C
