Palm Court Questions

We went to the PCG on our Valor cruise last February.

The walk from the ship was doable, very nice actually. We got there when it opened at 9 am.

The place was really nice as shown on the pictures.

A few downsides, though.

Although, there were umbrellas beside the nice loungers, they could not be moved or tilted. We found there was very little shade until mid afternoon. That may not be an issue for some.

Also, we found the place was "taken over" by about 20 or 25 (a lot for the size of the place) of the ship's crew by mid-morning. They get a discounted rate and I understand this happens every Friday when the Valor is in St. kitts. Not sure about other ships or days. They were having a good time, for sure. I see why they come, close to port, free wifi, inexpensive. I was a little embarrassed by some of the public displays or affection in and around the pool, just saying....

Hope this helps!

We were also planning to go to Carambola Beach Club but PGC looks beautiful.

Is there a beach area too or just the pool and garden area? Are there chairs and umbrellas on the beach that are furnished or for rent?

Palm Court has the pool area, gardens, gift shop and restaurant plus a small bar. There is no beach area. The fee to use the pool would include use of the lounge chairs & umbrellas but there is plenty of shade there also.
