MarGG Posted April 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2013 We are sailing on Celebrity Eclipse in August. It will be our first ever cruise, so we have a lot of questions. An one of them is about the laundry. How is it organized on the ship? Any advice will be appreciated.
Rare ghstudio Posted April 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2013 you've come to the right place to get answers....ask away. there is no self service laundry on any Celebrity ship. They do offer laundry and dry cleaning service at what we consider reasonable prices (it's cheaper than sending stuff out at home). Generally it is two day service, but you can get things back in a day if you are willing to pay an expediting fee.

rwr235 Posted April 26, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2013 And how is it arranged? Should you take it somewhere? Hi, There will be a laundry bag (paper) and item checklist in your cabin closet...(if not, or you need additional ones, just ask your Stateroom Attendant)..place items in the bag; correspondingly notate items on checklist; leave bag and list in cabin for your Stateroom Attendant to collect. Clean laundry will be delivered back to your cabin. Easy... Enjoy your first cruise !! Woody
Kwaj girl Posted April 26, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2013 There will be laundry bags & forms to fill out indicateing how many t-shirts, how many pairs of socks, etc. You just leave the bage filled w/ your items & the completed form on your bed - the room steward will pick it up when he comes in to do your room. Set it up in the morning before you go to breakfast - your items will be returned the next day usually late afternoon. Charges are clearly listed on the form & it will be billed to your stateroom. rwr235 - looks like we answered at the same time :-)

stipmom Posted April 26, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 26, 2013 Sometimes they have a special towards the end of the cruise for a bag for a certain price. This is for laundered items only. not dry cleaning.
Rare MicCanberra Posted April 27, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 27, 2013 It is very similar to a hotel service but generally cheaper. Fill in the form and put your clothes to be washed in the bag and leave it on the bed. The room steward will arrange the taking and delivering of your laundry. :D
