Have just read on a previous thread

(Managed to cut a deal through my helpful Personal Cruise Adviser at RCCL)

I have never had or even heard of a PCA :I mostly have a problem getting RCL to even answer the phone

I have at this time 2 cruises booked direct with them

Can I ask to have a Personal Adviser?

In my experience, whoever takes your reservation on the phone becomes your PCA....

I alway book via the phone, with the deck plans in front of me....they send almost immediate e-mail confirmations of everything!

Agree...When I have been contacted by a PCA it has then been hard to get them on the phone..I get good service from who ever I'm talking to at the moment...and no leaving a message and waiting for a call back.

Periodically I receive an email message from one person or another who claims to be my PVP.

I never paid any attention to them, figuring they are just like any other sales people hoping to attract clients.

When I book a cruise, I either do it online, or do it the way Ashland does, by calling C&A and speaking with whichever person happens to answer the phone.

But reading this thread reminded me of my most interesting and memorable PVP story of all.

One day, a few years ago there was a news report about a PVP who was arrested for burglarizing the homes of cruise passengers while they were off on cruises.

I thought her name looked vaguely familiar, but couldn't place it.

On a hunch, I looked back through my old e-mail messages, and the reason why her name looked familiar immediately became apparent.

Sure enough, a few months previously I had received an email message from her claiming that she was my PVP!

I also find this to be the best way. No waiting. (other than being on hold)

  • 9 months later...

Mine periodically emails me but whenever I call him his voice mail picks up.

I have been assigned a few different ones.

Don't think they are able to cut any deals for US passengers.
