Ehpride Posted September 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2013 I totally agree. I have a completely different attitude wearing a nice dress than when I'm dressed more casually. It makes the experience seem more special.

sail7seas Posted September 20, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 20, 2013 [B]Fun to look at but my days of gowns on cruise ships are over. I wore them for 80+ cruises and as I watched many of those around us not bother with the gown or tuxedo anymore, we joined their ranks. Sure, we got older and that is part of the factor but we started to feel over-dressed and chose to go suit for him and cocktail dress for me. But that can easily be overlooked because he did it for his wife... right? Even if she wore a new dress every day, it'd still take her 150 years to go through them all.
