Vancouver - Last Ship of the Season

As the Vancouver cruise season ends, it looks like Westerdam does not want to leave port, and has dug its heels in! Originally scheduled to leave at 5pm, but here it is nearly 11pm and it hasn't left yet.

Word on the HAL boards is that they have cancelled Astoria (they'd never get there now), and are headed (unscheduled) to Victoria tomorrow. The primary reason is nasty weather out there (987 hPa)

Just got back from the Sapphire Princess Sept 28 Coastal Cruise. We left Vancouver on time but the sail away party was held in the Atrium because of the rain. In Victoria it rained in the morning but cleared up after lunch. But in the afternoon the winds came and it was strong that we left port several hours later than scheduled. The Captain also told us that our scheduled stop in Astoria would be cancelled.
