cabbage beach?

Well I've been there 3 times, and each time it was exactly the same. Big waves and no bathrooms. We have used the bathrooms in the hotels along the beach in the past. But last two time they had put a stop to that. Still a great beach. Take a cab there. You can ask the driver to stop at a store for drinks. Ask for the one beside the ice factory.. (See where I'm going with this?) Make sure you give yourself enough time to get back as there is traffic going over the bridge. But most of all... Have fun!! :)

We were there a few months ago, but have found our new favorite beach at Junkanoo. We can walk there from the ship, beach is clean, water is calm. Just a great way to spend the day. Cabbage the water is just way to rough, you cannot even get in it

But if you do want to go, cabs are $4 pp each way. Same at the water taxi and the water taxi sucks. So take a cab if you want to go over there.

The waves are what makes it fun at Cabbage Beach, never had a issue of not getting beyond the waves. :) Cabbage beach is a ocean beach, Junkanoo is on the commercial harbour. If you are very young or elderly go to Junkanno,if you go to Cabbage Beach take the land taxi and not the water shuttle.

There are NO LIFEGUARDS at cabbage beach and depending on the weather and tide, there are HEAVY undertows and riip tides as well. We have had several drownings so far this season, and many near drownings.

If you get caught in the rip tide, there is noone that can help you.

What is the calmest beach (man made or not) in Nassau. Flat waters.

Hilton and Junkanoo beach.. then cable beach near the resorts (some parts of the public cable beach has rip tide, especially near go slow bend.)

If you are going swimming, you should swim near a life guard. Public beaches are fine for sunbathing and getting your toes wet.
