Balcony Decor?

I have heard good and bad about this. What is your opinion about decorating your balcony? I would love to hear everyone's opinions and ideas. Please share.

Other than people on balconies holding flags or signs during sail away, I've never seen a decorated balcony. I wouldn't think this would be allowed due to safety reasons.

I think this would be frowned upon. Usually we get some sort of correspondence from Princess about not leaving things on your balcony so they don't get blown away. We have cruised in environmentally sensitive areas where this was a big issue. It sounds fun, but your cute decorations could hurt some unsuspecting sea creatures should they detach and get blown away.

Since the star fire, anything that is left on your balcony at night

will be removed by the steward. No swimsuits, towels or decorations.

When we have cruised through the Panama Canal, people made posters (with supplies from the ship) and we have seen some College/Sports flags here and there.

A flag or sign while you are there with it, no problem try leaving it out and you will find it folded up in your cabin,

 

bridge crew will have anything that could assist a fire removed with out delay

 

room stewards are under strict instruction to remove anything that can burn from balconies

As well as anything that might blow off and fall into the sea.

I say, no decorating the balcony as others have said,a safety hazard.

I do decorate my cabin door.(no hazard other than some peoples eyes-they don't like it) I put a cactus on my door and my cc screen name.
