Premium Bon Voyage Package from Casino Players Club

Yes, we've all whined about how impossible it is to figure out why some people get nice comps and others don't; why some get discounted cabin offers and some don't; why some get casino cash and some don't.

Once upon a time I had a Player's Club rate and booked a cruise (just a regular cruise; not one of their special sailings). Once upon a time I actually received a gift basket plus water plus photo coupon.

Usually, I get a whopping $25 casino cash. Hey, I'll take it! They don't HAVE to give me anything. I'm not a high roller.

For some reason, though, I'm to receive the Premium Bon Voyage Package on my upcoming cruise. Really. No idea why this time is any different from the other recent cruises.

Anyway, can someone tell me what I should expect to receive?

We always receive a premium bon voyage package. It consists of a fruit basket, crackers, cheese, bottle of wine, a couple of bottles of water, a photo coupon, and a free drink coupon... For our last cruise, they decorated our room with the "Happy Anniversary" decorations -- it was really nice (and unexpected)!

Free wine is nice! I got the basket on my 6-night Norfolk-Bermuda cruise on Glory in 2011. I actually gave the fruit away to another solo cruiser who was at my dinner table and I brought one of the big bottles of water home. I was driving, so that was fine (heavy in that carry-off bag, though!).

I'm Platinum and never eat the plate of chocolates they bring, so I hope it's the wine & cheese basket.

I'm booked for the steakhouse the first night, so should get comp wine there, too. Being that I'm sailing from San Juan and have the ability to board multiple times (with a bottle each time), I may end up not even needing to purchase a wine package! I can donate that money to the casino instead, you know, to show my appreciation! :p

I am done with the casinos on Carnival. Those slots could not be any tighter. I refuse to give them any more of my money. I'm not looking to win big (although it would be nice) I just want to be able to play for a couple hours at a time without dropping hundreds of dollars. Oh well, my hubby will be happy anyway.

My last two cruises I've also received the $25 casino comp but last week, I received an email saying I qualified for the Premium Bon Voyage Package on our upcoming Freedom cruise.

The email states the Premium Package will include a Cash 10 Photo Coupon, a Fruit Basket, a bottle of Fine Wine, and 2 bottles of Mineral Water. (this was taken right from the email).

Enjoy it! :D

Anyone know what the current telephone number is to call and find out if you qualify for anything. The number seems to keep changing

I sent an email to MBayona@carnival.com. He was on vacation and just got back on 1/7/14. I had sent the email the end of December and found out he was gone.

Just received an email today from him stating we're getting the Premium Bon Voyage Package.

I gamble a little every day, maybe $40 and usually leave with the same. Over our last cruise I maybe lost $100. I got an email after we booked our 1/18 cruise for $25 casino comp. I was surprised and happy to take it.

I thought they did away with the Bon Voyage packages???

Guess they are making a come back....

Last year we received cash - me $25 & SO $75. Previously, we received the Standard Bon Voyage Package. This time based on last year's B2B (considered one cruise), we'll be receiving the Premium Bon Voyage Package.

Previously received: premium gift baskets, photo coupons, water, chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, drinks on us (me) etc. I have $100.00 casino cash for our cruise in March...don't know if they will give me anything other than that this time though....seems like the comps are getting stingy. I am hoping the deal with Penn National Gaming will help with that since we frequent their casinos locally.

We just got off Freedom this past Sunday (Jan. 19) and we received the premium basket which consisted of one 750 bottle of white wine, 2 large bottles of water, a $10 photo credit and a fruit/cheese basket. We enjoyed the cheese and crackers but let's face it, on a cruise how many people actually eat the fruit. We ended up leaving it for our room steward since you can't take it off with you when you're visiting ports. It's such a shame to waste all that fruit but what can you do:confused: We had a fantastic cruise and we DO appreciate the perks from the casino. :D
