We did a TA in April,2016 on Regal from FT Lauderdale to Copenhagen in M108.The balcony was fine for most of the crossing but when we hit the coast of Europe we had rain everyday and it got quite cold.I would say we used the balcony for 60% of the cruise.

The balconies in M107 and M108 are on the front and side of the cabin so we could go to the front and the railing blocked the wind.

Such an old thread.

 

We did a crossing in M107 last year and have cruised in M107/108 on many other cruises. Everything depends on the wind direction in relation to the ships direction. If the ship is headed into the wind then you may have 50 knots of wind over the balcony which makes it unusable. The opposite can happen and it can be quite nice and calm on the balcony at sea but that is not the norm. On our crossing (west to east) the balcony was usable (pleasent) maybe 2 out of the 7 crossing days. If using the balcony at sea is of utmost importance to you then you may be dissapionted.

 

The balconies in M107 and M108 are on the front and side of the cabin so we could go to the front and the railing blocked the wind.

 

This is true but when you need to hug the railing or hid from the wind in the corner it's not a pleasurable experience for us because you have no visual and you have the wind noise to boot. However, M107/108 are our favorite cabins in the ship.

Thanks, the balcony for L107 is the same on the side and front, although smaller than the M deck front balconies, good to hear you could still use it except in the rain.
