Infinity 8185 question & solization (sp)

Love the stern cabins, know this has large balcony and sandwiched between floors. booked this cabin for the balcony

 

My question is years ago when researching Milly it seems cabin interior layout was a little wonky as to the bed location had a divider next to it and bed was pushed up against the wall. Is this correct? any comments or pics on cabin interiors

 

What happened with the solization (sp) of this class ship

 

Will appreciate any info.

Hi, can't help you with the cabin question but as for the Solsticization?

All the M class ships went into a drydock from 2011-2012.....what

was done? Deck 3 had new cabins added (windows) from 3112-3144

which are starboard, just aft of The Guest Relations area.

 

Also an area of deck 9 and 10 had Aqua Class cabins added.

 

Blu was added (Restaurant for those in AQ). Other specialty restaurants

were added as well. Can't recall if Infinity got Qsine or not but she does

have a Bistro on 5 now.

 

They moved the Martini Bar and put Cellar Masters at the old Martini

Bar location and Bistro on 5 is located where the old Champagne bar

was located.

 

Lots of changes.

We were on Infinity recently and although we were on deck 9 and starboard, my pictures should give you an idea of the extra space. Disregard the last balcony picture, as had the extension, but it should give you an idea, if your cabin is a FV one.

Yes, there's a Qsine on the Infinity. We were just aboard for the TA, and ate with 6 others there and had a wonderful evening. (And we love Bistro on 5, ate there as well.)

 

The one "Solstice-ization," however, that imho would vastly improve these ships would be to tear out the horribly designed, obsolete, high school cafeteria-style buffet and replace it with the design on the S-class ships. The buffet on the Infinity always seemed crowded and unpleasant. I really loved the layout of the buffet on the Eclipse (and the food).
