Tino was so excited about his gift that we didn't even notice that we were already sailing away.

So we went on the Lido and stayed there a little bit. It was very cloudy and windy.

It was very cold for me and Tino wanted to take a bath. So went to our room and my second gift already arrived. We took 2 bottle's of wine with us, so we opened one and sat on the balcony and enjoyed it.

What's left of it....:o

I almost forgot that before we came to our room, we ofcourse went to the Muster Drill that was on deck 4.

We chose for room 7411. After many advices here on Cruise Critic we thought that deck 7 would be the right one for us. And man it was! Room 7411 was a very nice room, we couldn't have booked a better one.

Here are some pictures of the room

Our room steward's name was Pasek and he was very nice and friendly. Our room was always tidy. We didn't see him a lot, but if we saw him he always chatted with us a little bit. We had requested him to clear the fridge for us, because we had brought our soda's and water. He just took out all of the drinks and placed them in one of the cupboards. We had plenty room of for our wines and drinks.

Some info on the Carnival Conquest Team:

The captain : Francesco La Fauci

Chief Engineer : Cosimo Delvento

Hotel Director : Dave Drier (he's so funny, I really liked him!)

Cruise Director : Gary Brierly (heard his voice a lot!)

My DH & I were on a B2B on the Conquest the same week you cruised. Looking forward to reading the remainder of your review. We had a wonderful time both weeks and really enjoyed the Conquest. The staff were all wonderful and we were impressed with the food and how well kept the ship was. Will keep checking for more of your review! Thanks for sharing. ;)

I love reading reviews so thank you for taking the time to do yours! We are going on our first cruise in April (The Legend out of Tampa) and I can't wait!

Thank you! Enjoy your first cruise. It's an amazing journey!

Oh my goodness! You found the craziest place in the United States right away. Walmart on the day after Thanksgiving. What an experience that always is. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip and I'm loving your review so far.

Thank you, Cruiserami! Say that again! :)

Although we had thought that Walmart would be more crowded than we experienced that day. But yes, we enjoyed!

Hi everyone, I'm back!

So, so, so, so sorry.....but with all the 'New Year's" happening and all, believe me, I got so tired....

But I'm here now and I will finish my review!

Here is a belated happy new year from me and Tino. This is a picture of 31st Dec in my country, a huge happening in my country, Suriname!

Okey, where was I?! Yes, dinner, first night!

Thanks to all te reviews that I had read and all the amazing food porn pictures on cruise critic, it was a delight to order the food.

We chose for the 8.15 Dinner and we liked that time. It gave us room to do what we wanted to and be relaxed at dinner. We were seated at the Monet dining room on deck 4.

Our table staff was Kim (can't remember het full name), I think Oniel and Boris.

They were very kind and Kim was always very nice. Everytime we came to dinner she would make a conversation with us of how our day was. That was sweet!

I had e-mailed the maitre'd of Conquest in August for a table of 2 request. Within 1 day I had received a confirmation and yes we we seated at a table for 2. Tino wanted a table for us alone, so I had made that request. It was nice. We liked our location and it was very fun.

Our table

We both started with the Chilled Shrimp Coctail

DSCF0272_zps808bbfe7.jpg

For the main I had the Tender Braised Beef Brisket in Gravy. That was very delicious and so tender....

DSCF0274_zps9ee1bcc1.jpg

Tino had the Roasted Chicken Breast. Here is a very blurry picture

DSCF0275_zpsadfbd686.jpg

We had ordered a glass of sweet white wine.

After the main dish we were so 'stuffed' that we just had a cup of tea. No dessert for us...

After dinner we walked around a little bit and went to kareoke where a lady sang 'I'm your lady!.

The hall up there smelled very awful, so we went to the Lido deck a little and to our room. Epic was showing on one of the channels so we watched that for a while and went to bed.

In our room ofcourse someone was waiting for us

So sweet! Thank you, Pasek!

We woke up around 6.30 and the view from our balcony was incredible.

We had ordered RS for that morning and it came around 7.15.

Coffee , youghurt and tea

Some toasted white bread and a muffin

Smoked Salmon

Fresh Melon

We enjoyed breakfast in our room and around 9.30 or so w went to the Lido deck.

The slide was under construction and we wouldn't be able use that for the whole cruise. That was a bummer! I had read so much about the slide and I really wanted to try it. Oh well, next time!

I just found your review and am really enjoying reading and your beautiful pictures. I don't know when will get an opportunity to cruise again so I'm getting my "cruise fix" by reading reviews. I love reading reviews of all itineraries so I can get ideas of possible future cruises I'd like to go on. Believe it or not I've heard of Suriname and actually know where it is! :) I'm looking forward to the rest of your review and thank you for taking the time to do it.

Hello, thank you for the review. I also like reading all reviews, but especially Conquest, as I am booked in October 2014. You appear to be having a lot of fun up to this point! Hope the rest of your trip was a blast. Am looking forward to reading all about it.

I also am a very curious type of person and am going to google Suriname to learn more. Maybe someday I will visit there! :)

Marrie, I love the New Years picture. I'm from New York....you have a small scale version if what goes on in Times Square!

I'm waiting to eat dinner and your pics were making me starved.

What construction were they doing on the water slide? That had better be open when I go Sunday. Hubby will not be happy if it is closed!
