Availability of Taxi's at the the cruise port?

We are planning on just taking a cab from cruise port to the airport after the cruise. Ship docks at 7:30am. Once we get through customs, yada yada, will we be able to just find a taxi or will I need to a google a taxi company & call them to come pick us up? It will just be two of us.

 

And I'm thinking cab from port to FLL is probably around $20, yes?

Yes...under $20.00..no problem there will be plenty of taxi's lined up for your 10-15min ride to FLL from PE..this is one of the quickest and easiest port-airport locations...Enjoy yada yada :)

Depending on when you disembark there will be a line of cruisers and cabs. It goes pretty fast as the cabs just drive mostly in circles from port to FTL and back again. If you spot an SUV, you can share with another couple and save $10;)

 

Don't let the shuttle drivers lure you to their van. You'll sit till its full and they charge per person.

3 in the back 1 in the front..but we have found the trunks would barely hold 2 pieces of (our) luggage..you'll have better luck using a taxi mini van type ;)

You can ask the taxi stand guy for a van or SUV. Should not be a problem. You just might have to wait a little longer for one to show up. We have done it several time with no problem.

Thanks for the responses. A mini van will probably be our best choice. And more comfortable!
