Leaving in 34 days and even though I have seen a picture of this cabin, I am wondering if the lifeboat obstructs the view too much?

We did have a cabin like this on Summit and we could see over the lifeboat very well when we were seated.

This thread has a TON of photos on the first few pages and shows you what to expect:

We have a 2C on deck 6 coming up in 3 weeks, I'll take tons of pictures and post back. I think partial obstruction means the glass on the balcony won't be totally blocked, but may have a lifeboat post or other equipment in the way if you look down.

We saved $1,000 by switching to a 2C room, so I think it will be worth it for us regardless, but I'll be sure to report back!

Have you checked the S class stateroom Sticky, above?

Yes, I did find a photo of this cabin from Eclipse and it looks like the lifeboat covers the glass of the veranda. But a recent photo of Silhouette showed the lifeboats below the veranda floor.

I guess I will just have to wait for micamissy to post some pictures.

We stayed on the 6th floor of this ship in a lifeboat obstruced cabin ,the life boats are below you and a metal pillar sticks up (about 6 inches by six inches) it is not a big deal in any way don't fret ,enjoy your trip.
