Hello, thanks for the review. We had cabin 2470 once on the Freedom. Loved the double window and the table and chairs, we had room service lunch one day.

Glad you went ahead and did the excursion with the dolphins. If you wouldn't have you would have regretted it, especially since you had to stay on the day at GC. I know we also had a rainy day in Jamaica once and went ahead and did our planned excursion and went to the plantation tour.

Glad your mom enjoyed it also. You two have nice memories now with the photos.

Thanks for reading. As long as I'm on a ship I'm gonna have a good time. I was suppose to be on a 4 day cruise to Bermuda, but thanks to hurricane Sandy it turned into a 6 day cruise to Boston...some people were not to pleased, but we made the best of it & had a blast!! I might not have been thrilled about the weather, but it was sure better than the weather in NY.;)

I also love cozumel. I will definitely go back there again someday.

Thanks, there was no way I couldnt buy the pictures once I saw them. If I could I would go to Cozumel every year.

Enjoying your review so much! We will be taking the same cruise in March. Sorry you did not make it into GC but there is always next time, right? Looking forward to the remainder of the review. Thanks for sharing. ;)

Thanks for reading, glad you're enjoying it. Missing GC was a downer, but like you said...that just means I gotta try again;)

We were on that cruise also. I think it was my 3rd on the Glory. The weather didn't cooperate well, but there is always fun things to do. We too had a blast. Didn't get to do the private excursions planned, except for Roatan, and that was the best day. Glad you and your mom had fun. I saw you guys having fun many times.

Now I don’t usually scare easily, but all the negative reviews & warnings to only go out on ship sponsored excursions got to me; so my plan was to do the island beach break. The weather was looking a tad bit better, but still not looking postcard Caribbean. To be honest I thought the port was gonna be canceled, the way the tenders were bouncing around. And since by no means was I gonna pay to sit on a beach in the cold; we had no plans for the day. Turns out a majority of the ships excursions were canceled anyway due to the weather. After breakfast on Lido, we made our way to the tenders & set off to explore the port area. (I’m not one for staying on the ship, especially if its somewhere I’ve never been). The tender ride was nowhere near as bad as it looked, it was a little long but the closer we got to Belize City the sunnier it got. As soon as we got past the ships photographers we were approached by vendors offering tours, now I had to use the bathroom & was not in the mood or position to stop & talk. Once I found the restroom I was in a much better mood & quickly realized there wasn’t much to the port area. Another vendor stopped us offering us a city tour for $30 each. He was so passionate about his country & the tour that I gave in, well that is after we agreed to knock it down to $20 per person. Yes it’s a very poor country, but that didn’t keep me from enjoying the tour. Our guide was a real sweetheart, he heard me say I needed to get a Belizean beer & dollar before we get back on the ship & he stopped at a neighborhood store so I could get it. While riding pass some guys on a corner they shouted to give him a good tip because he has 5 small kids at home to feed, he chuckled so I asked him if he did & he said oh no I’m just 23 I’m my mothers baby...aww. After our tour I needed to buy my souvenirs & was looking at a little stand when I heard a voice from the other side if the fence saying “save money, everything is half price over here” so we ventured on the other side of the fence & paid half. All in all it was a good day.

Yeah, I just liked the sign...gotta learn to swim, so next time I can snorkel in the Blue Hole

Not sure what we did between getting back on board & dinner, but it probably involved a nap. Dinner was in the MDR tonight, even though I didn’t like the food I enjoyed the company of our tablemates & the wait staff. To my suprise the menu looked apealling. I had the BBQ spare ribs, which I was very please with (finally) & s'mores parfait, very sweet but good. I really wanted to go to the Thriller dance class, but it started at 7:45 & we were still at dinner. Later tonight was Caribbean music w/ DJ Big D on Lido, I spotted the sisters from dinner & had a few drinks with them until the Red Frog Caribbean Beach Party. I lost track of them during all the line dances, conga line & limbo. The party then continued in the club & I actually stayed longer than a NY minute, didn’t get to room until 3am.

Thanks for the review. Loving it and the pics, in to follow the rest.

I'm sailing the Glory in just over two weeks (different itinery), your photos are giving me stomach butterflies.

I loved your dress for formal night and the maxi you wore in Cozumel.

Glad you loved my favorite room! I will be back in it again on May 11 and I'm going solo so I'll have it all to myself :D

Loved the room, its now my 2nd favorite...1st is the 4k's on the Spirit class. If I had all that room to myself I'd be doing backflips.

I loved the room. Your review was great. We missed Grand Cayman also when we went.

Thanks, glad your enjoying it. Guess we both need to book another cruise to GC :D

Thanks, wasn't it a fun cruise? I think the funniest was GC day when no one could walk a straight line.

Question on two of your desserts, the strawberry parfait and the cookie with ice cream. I don't remember seeing these listed on the new menus that have been posted. Have they made dessert changes?

I'm gonna say yes, because I never saw them on the menus posted before we left. Actually I think some of the menu has changed. I didnt take pics of the menus because I figured they were already posted online, but while doing this review I went to them for reference & they didnt all match.

We got our early morning wake up vibration & I was happy to finally see the sun, but I was still tired from last night. I needed some real coffee to get me going, so I made a stop to the Coffee Bar while mom got ready. OMG, wish I would’ve discovered this sooner, definitely hit the spot. I had booked Victor Bodden's Fun in Sun tour & we were to meet at 9am. We ate a quick breakfast on Lido & were off on our way outside the gate & over the hill. We got there about 8:45 & I guess we were the last ones because we left once we got there. We started off the touring the island & I was amazed at some of the villages, we stopped for a photo op at what I think was the highest point & the view was amazing. Next we went to Victor’s Monkey business. I really only had intentions of relaxing in a hammock & watching people zip-line, but when we got there I decided I would walk through the animal area…just to look. Well I guess I got caught up in the moment, because I decided to put on my brave girl panties & actually got in the cage with the monkeys. Loved it!!! Now I absolutely hate & I mean HATE birds, but again vacation mode got to me & was in a bird cage. I was scared to death & happy as a pig in $#@% to get out of there. Then we were on our way to Bananarama Resort at West Bay Beach & had about 2 hours to spend here. The water looked nice, it was a little cold at first but warmed up after a while. They also have free wifi so I spent some time laying out in the sun & catching up on FB. Before heading back to the tour van we stopped for a frozen drink, a bananarama.

Thank goodness for the Coffee Bar

Once back on board it was a pretty quiet afternoon. We had lunch on Lido & hung around for the Ice carving demo…I was surprised to see something other than the Indian Chief head. Dinner tonight was our second American Feast, I had the beef tenderloin, OK & Chesapeake crab cake, did not like at all. I was very disappointed because I loved the old New England crab cakes & would normally order at least 2. For dessert I had the sticky toffee brioche with 4 toppings; did not live up to my expectations. Tasted like dough with honey & by the time Virgil came around with the toppings I had eaten them. After dinner I tried my luck in the casino & should’ve kept my money in my pocket. I stuck around the casino stage for the Guess that Oldie but Goodie song with my tablemate Mike & could barely keep my eyes open. I guess last night finally caught up with me & tonight would be an early night. I walked pass the night club without even looking through the window & went straight to my room. When I got in mom wasn't there, guess were reversing roles for the night. I don’t remember where she said she was or what time she came in, but she said she wasn’t used to me being in bed so early & when she got in she thought to herself “who is in my room?” LOL
