New Commercial

Not one comment on the fact those kids are walking barefoot on the decks? That is way more unrealistic...

Did that once, talk about a hot foot!

First, the sun is closer to the horizon this time of year, and the water trail keeps the decks comfortable. This is why we never go first.

Its irresponsible. Next they will be showing people fishing and barbecuing.

And it gives the wrong idea for kids to do this on playgrounds and pools around the world.

So I'm wondering when they showed a commercial of kids in the adult pool and hottubs? Because kids surely think that's allowed and ok??? Wait so do their parents.

I always wondered about the disclaimer shown during a commercial. I would laugh and think, are they really necessary? Don't people realize that this is just a clever way to spark interest in the product?

I guess I was wrong

Sort of like the warnings that McDonalds now has on their "Hot" Coffee saying "Caution Liquid is Hot". they are needed because some people have no common sense and are ready to sue at the drop of a hat.

Did anybody see the video of the MSC Divina arriving in Miami while being escorted by several Fiats? I smiled at the video but didn't have the urge to try to float my Fiat out to sea. Kids have grown up with televisions and understand that commercials are frequently fantasy (or at least wishful thinking).

I get that commercials are sometimes very ridiculous. The flying cars, etc.

what's different about this one and what annoys me is that the kids are not doing something so outrageous like a flying car commercial. It's a pretty realistic commercial which is my bone of contention. Showing kids going down a water slide together....why would kids "know" that is not reality?

If they showed something more extreme, I think we would not be as perturbed. At least I wouldn't.

When my husband and I watched the commercial we both said it was cool! Next thing out of his mouth was " I bet someone is going to start a thread on Cruise Critic". The only problem I see coming is some not so bright parents making a big deal out of it and making an big issue in front of other families. Most likely the same parents that don't supervise their kids while on the ship. Let's just remember to use our common sense. It is just a fun and clever commercial!
