Do I Pre-Book LeBistro with Platinum Perk?

I pre booked dinner in LeBistro for our upcoming cruise. Did so because last time it was very very full except for late service. It was also a pain to try to actually get a reservation as the line was busy all the time. Didn't want the hassle or frustration of trying to call, not have a good time slot etc.

Up to you, but I like being able to pre book.

Will you be in a suite? If so, I would wait til on board.

It doesn't matter if one will be in a suite or not, only a fraction (about a third - tops) of tables is available for pre-bookings so there is no way that all prime time slot would be gone if they do the booking on embarkation day.

We always book on the ship as I wouldn't want to have the refund issue. No problem. We booked ahead of time on the ship but other platinum friends booked the day they wanted to go after checking the menus at the dining room and for activities they wanted to do. We were on the back to back and on the second cruise (just completed), we adopted their method and it worked just fine. Only time I saw most restaurants completely booked was on Valentine's Day. Teppanyaki is an exception, always fills up, but not Le Bistro and the others. In fact, Ginza was so empty I wondered how they justify its space.

Ah, but if in a suite you really don't have to worry about it on embarkation day.
