CANADIANCASTAWAY Posted February 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Does anyone know if the Victory has these amenities in the inside staterooms?? CANADIANCASTAWAYS Sent from my iPad using Forums
elklemi Posted February 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2014 I was in a balcony room and no refrig but did have hair dryer. I would expect this would be the same for inside and balcony.
Rare CruisinCrow Posted February 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Our oceanview cabin did not have a fridge so I would assume an inside cabin wouldn't either. We did have a hair dryer but it was one of those weird ones that hang on the bathroom wall. I would definitely bring my own!
ibcnusoon Posted February 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2014 We had an aft-wrap balcony on the Victory - NO refrigerators :( but we had a hair dryer, although it was the older-style hair dryers attached to the wall in the bathroom. steelersfan4ever Posted February 28, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Not sure what kind of cabin you have, but we had a fridge in our Suite.
Anyislandwilldo Posted February 28, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Not sure how picky you are about hair dryers but in our balcony room, I had to put down the hair dryer a few times because the handle got hot. DH said next time we pack our own hair dryer. I just wish I had wash and wear hair.

Sparky2 Posted February 28, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Victory is an older ship and did not have a fridge in most cabins. Probably only in suites.
agc291 Posted February 28, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Insides dont have fridges and like others have said the hair dryer is awful. If it is important to you, pack one. I just leave my hair to air dry for the week.

frugalKansan Posted March 1, 2014 #12 Share Posted March 1, 2014 I'm not sure others' descriptions did justice to how bad the hair dryers are. The dryer itself stays attached to the wall and you hold the end of a hose that looks like a vacuum hose. It worked okay for my cousin because she has thin hair. Mine's not crazy thick or even long, but I had a problem with the hose getting too hot. It took forever and I ended up using a towel to hold the hose. spazilla1 Posted March 1, 2014 #13 Share Posted March 1, 2014 We were just on the Victory this past January - on an inside cabin - empress deck. We had a hair dryer (although I always bring my own little travel one in case theirs has a problem and does not work) and there was NO fridge in the room, but since we won a bottle of champagne at the art auction - we asked the room steward for a bucket of ice, which he refilled every day for us and we used that to chill the champagne and had it on the last sea night. I try to bring along a few things for just in case issues, like duel chargers for our phones and extra batteries for the camera, etc etc. :)
CP89 Posted March 1, 2014 #14 Share Posted March 1, 2014 We had both in our balcony room. But definitely bring your own hair dryer if you're picky about that type of stuff.
