Everything.. ESCAPE (live 29 Oct 2015!)

Recommended Posts

I imagine it will be. I'll be anxious to try it out when I finally sail NCL for the first time.

You are going to love it, ncl now have more of the party atmosphere that carnival used to have. Especially overnight at the nightclub, most of the oldies go to bed and that's when the real fun begins.

I was told it will be when I was on the Sky two weeks ago. I used it on the Getaway this past August and it worked very well. My family was able to stay in touch with each other, and we were able to add new friends we had met on board to the messaging part. This was great to let someone know where to meet on the ship. You can also use it to call rooms. I believe they are going to roll it out fleet wide over the next six months.

"Papenburg, 13 Februar 2015 - The latest cruise ship under construction - Anthem of the Seas - will leave building dock II of Meyer Werft shipyard in Northwestern Germany on Saturday, 21. Februar 2015. The 168.600-gt cruise ship Anthem of the Seas, one of the largest cruise ship in the world, is schedule to leave the shipyards covered building dock II early morning around 07.00 am. The ship is built for US cruise operator Royal Caribbean International.

Following the float-out, the Anthem of the Seas will be berthed alongside the yard's pier for one night, before being turned on 22 February for the thruster and stabiliser tests in the yrads harbour.

With the ship berthed at the yard's pier, the remaining interior works as well as tests and trials will be carried out on board until the ship’s conveyance down the river Ems to the North Sea, which is scheduled for mid of March.

You can see the float out via webcam on www.meyerwerft.com"

7am Papenburg local time is:

10pm Los Angeles

1am New York

Use http://time.is/compare for your location vs Papenburg Germany.

Escape's 2nd megablock must be floated out first so perhaps Masterschnief can add to that? Maybe on friday?

This comment scares me. :p I can party with the best of them, but I don't want to feel like I'm on Spring Break.

The reason I say photo should be home port for all NCL cruise ships it's because hey is Florida people want to come here anyways. Florida has so much going for it as far as Disney, universal and many other theme parks and dinner shows. Why not make Florida the cruise destination of the world? Even has a nice ring to it.

I'm pretty sure California and New York have more than a few things going for them as well.

I'm not sure that they're bothering building it any more. It seems that Florida is so perfect that nobody will want to get on the ship and leave such perfection behind. :)

ROTFLMAO!!! :D

Uhhh.....NCL doesn't have any "overnight" nightclubs. It's pretty quiet everywhere after 11pm. Thankfully.

Danke for all the updates FreestyleNovice!:D

Outside of S. California, there's no prefect place to live.

Where I'm at, the Winter is brutal and the summers are great. In Florida, the Summers are brutal and the winter is great.

Hi,

Does anybody know what this will be?

That is the mid-section mega-block for ANTHEM OF THE SEAS. It's an old picture. What you are looking at is the platform where Northstar (the observation pod) rests.

Ha, you have nothing to worry about. I did many spring break cruises in my day, on Carnival, Royal, etc. as well as plenty of other Carnival cruises, and not once did I feel like I was on one of those sailings on NCL. My wife and I were on the Getaway last May and it was an extremely fun and lively atmosphere, but not a drunken, fall-all over-yourself, party atmosphere.

quiet after 11pm? oh heck no! headliners goes til 1 or later when pianos are there ... then bliss after that. And the casino is jumping til late.

That was my experience on Breakaway. Bliss was bumpin' until close and the casino even later.
