sandc4e Posted April 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2014 Was just viewing the weather for this weeks Norwegian Getaway sailing and it looks like chance of rain every day. Did it rain on your cruise? We're on our very first cruise the week of May 10th and would hate to have it rain every day. I'm hoping it's like Florida with a quick shower daily to cool down the air maybe - but not continuous rain every day. Your thoughts on weather in the Eastern Caribbean? clairesmom Posted April 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2014 We just got back from the Eastern (on the Getaway) yesterday. The weather was great all but one day, and that was the last sea day. It was windy and stormy with a little rain all day. As you get closer to summer though, it can get more volatile. :) Have a great cruise!

ColinIllinois Posted April 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2014 ...and you also may have rain that lasts all day. Mother Nature can be quite unpredictable. Take a small travel umbrella just in case. :D

First of all: a chance of rain doesn't really mean anything. It can mean rain for 10 minutes or all day and night. As for May, it is an ideal time to cruise. We love cruising from mid April to mid May. We usually have great weather, but not too hot and the rates are a little lower. Nobody can really tell you what to expect, but worrying about it won't change anything.

Bocadude85 Posted April 17, 2014 #12 Share Posted April 17, 2014 I think you will be ok weather-wise. The rainy season doesn't really kick in until mid may.
