Upgrading room online

Been trying to upgrade my booked room from C3 to an Aqua. The site lets me do it but then says "currently unable to process your request at this time" Is this a weekend site maintenance issue or is this something I have to call in to do? New to using the Celebrity site so any help on this is appreciated.

Hi Mike,:) welcome to the world of the Celebrity Website:eek:......many

times it doesn't work at all, many times it doesn't work on the weekends

and you now you get the idea...for such a large company? The website

has a bit to be desired:rolleyes:

But to upgrade your cabin? Even if it worked correctly all the time?

I would tell you to call them about it. I have always called or when

I book with a TA? They do my changes. Not anything I have ever done

online....even when I have booked directly through Celebrity.

The best advice I can give is don't try to use the celebrity site....just pick up the phone and call them (or ask them to call you which is an option on their web pages).

How do you even try to upgrade online? I've never seen the option.

This is something I would definitely do directly either with Celebrity or my TA.

Oh it's there....I had a pop up window offering an upgrade on our last cruise. I clicked on it to see the upgrade and ended up with a Celebrity Suite that we initially didn't want. The only reason we noticed the upgrade was the increase in our fare the following week. No conformation email or conformation pop up window -- nada. So be careful on the glitch plagued website......or better yet, do any upgrades over the phone.

Yeah I'll do it over the phone. The place I found to upgrade was under the view reservation option. When that screen comes up there is an edit room option that leads you to room upgrades. Kind of cumbersome interface. Guess I'll go old school with the phone. :)

I had this problem last week - tried loads of times, and ended up calling them! We were trying to upgrade to a suite (there was only one available) and it was frustrating!
