7 day cruise to Bermuda-why the difference in port fees?

Pretty simple question -

RC Grandeur of the Sea 7 day trip from Baltimore, about 2 and a half days at the Dockyards, port fees = $ 178.67

Celebrity Summit 7 day trip from NJ, a bit longer in port, port fees = $ 223.63

Charged by the hour, ship size, is the cruise line getting a cut, any explanation for why the Summit pays almost $ 45 more for roughly the same experience?

Cruise ships pay a wharfage or passenger charge per passenger at each port, a port-entry fee depending on size of vessel and harbor, and a dockage fee depending on size of vessel and length of stay, all of which could easily add up to the $45.

In addition to the likely possibility of taxes and fees being higher in NJ than

MD, they're not simply a head tax of $X per passenger. They can vary by the size of the ship, and since the Summit is larger than the Grandeur, it probably costs more to dock the Summit in Bermuda.

and I am looking for the fee collected by the Dockyard ( per foot of ship ) but I don't see it....yet

HERE are the fees for NYC  , see section 3 for the $$

No, the cruise line is not taking a cut. As has been mentioned different size ships from different ports. The homeport charges fees too.

And the difference in time is not roughly the same experience. It is more logical to look at the difference thusly, the Summit has three days and two evenings. The Grandeur has two evenings and two days. The experience with three days is a lot better. I won't repeat that five day itinerary.
