We love the sea days and not having to fly. It will be our 4th time in November. Would love some suggestions on doing it on your own if not doing excursions. We are not water sports people or beach goers, but love the beauty if Hawaii, just wondering if there is something wonderful we should know about and may have missed?

Have a wonderful cruise.

We just enjoyed our second Hawaiian cruise and did different tours in each port.

Our best day was a Princess tour to Halekeaka. In Hilo we had a great private tour seeing everything different than the last trip. One of our CC booked a fabulous luau in Honolulu and in Kahuai we rented a car and went in the opposite direction of the volcano until the road ended - fabulous!

I can't wait to go back again, Karen

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. :)

This will be our 4th time. The first 2, we booked ships tours to see the 'big' sights, and avoid the dreaded Honolulu traffic. We aren't very good with buses either. :o

This time, the guys will be doing a private golf day on Maui. Last time they had one on Kauai.

We will be doing some shorter ships tours, and ones that we haven't experienced, such as the progressive eating tour.

The guys missed Waimea Canyon last time, so we will repeat that.

We are not big on driving ourselves.

Our traveling companions may do a private whale watch.

I just booked our 4th cruise to Hawaii, in 2016. :D

There a very few available, and seems to me they are more expensive.

We love Hawaii, and DH will be playing golf on Maui.

Fantastic! Enjoy! I love Maui. Your post made me think I need a trip there.:):):)

What did you enjoy doing on those long At Sea Days?

LuLu

I just love being on the water. Read, nap, movies in the Princess theater, afternoon tea, the casino, old Love Boat reruns on the TV ;). I often just sit on the balcony and gaze at the horizon.

Progressive eating tour? What island and what is the name of the tour? Haven't seen that and it sounds like something my husband would enjoy:)

Thanks.

It is on Hilo--the Hawaiian Culinary Home tour. It's 4 hrs and is $199 ea.

We have done this cruise 7 times so far and still have not tirerd (sp) of it. We are booked again next April on the Star out of S.F. Our only complained is the large price increase  from last year for our Emerald deck mini suite. Hoping to see a price reduction before final pymt. LOVE LOVE those sea days.:)

Pat, it's a terrific cruise. We booked our third with this itinerary for next February. Have a great cruise!

Hi Pam,

We did the Hawaii cruise in March 2013 and would love to do it again. We do love sea days on each cruise we do, but we found until we reached the Hawaiin Islands the weather was not the best.Is there a better weather time to sail from LA ?

Thanks.

Have your TA check the prices again, our cruise on the Star in Feb. just went down for our Caribe balcony over $300 pp.

Hope your did too

Ahhhh, the sea days are just the best! I could sit on the balcony for weeks just watching the ocean go by. The GF goes off and does what she does and comes back to find me with a cocktail on the balcony. I love long stretches at sea.

We did Hawaii on Grand in April. As far as price drops go, we self-book and check every couple of days. Even after final payment, Princess was able to give us the $400pp discount. We lost $50pp OBC but it was still a big win obviously.
