Are you high?!?

Anyone that resorts to ALL CAPS and MULTIPLE !!!!!!! and incomplete sentences, well... you sure must wonder.

The POL reference might be for Politically Correct, but sure hard to figure out what he is trying to say.

Actually I heard they plan to have the Fireworks "ONLY" in the casino ..

Yes I hope they ban the fire works I for one can not stand not being able to use my balcony because of second hand firework smoke.

the concept of fireworks at sea sound nice, but does it contribute to the sea's trash ?

To actually answer your question, no...they do not.

Like Disney ships, Norwegian is using specially designed fireworks so as to minimize any potential environmental impact.

The shells are made of an organic material which is designed to completely burn. Anything that may fall into the water will decompose.

They also use compressed air to fire the shells instead of the nomal gunpowder charge. This makes them safer to store and reduces the material that must burn.

On the breakaway behind the scenes tour they said they use special fireworks material where the aftermath either decomposes or is fish food.

Maybe not ban them outright, but only shoot fireworks from the port side so that the starboard passengers will... oh nevermind.

NCL has 1 of the best records for POL CONTROL......Not like other cruise lines!!!!! (Sometimes alittle to much):o

Umm...err...

http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/travel/news/2002/2002-11-08-cruise-dumping.htm

The only reason NCL cooperated with the Justice Department and pleaded guilty was to avoid the higher fines imposed on RCI for similar illegal discharges. Apparently NCL's senior management was tipped off that a disgruntled former employee had presented the EPA with evidence of the dumping, and they decided that the "jig was up." NCL has had more violations and accidents since then (many of which they do not deny).

Many cruise lines accidentally (sometimes intentionally) discharge waste where they shouldn't. NCL isn't particularly better or worse in general.
