I'm going off topic. Sorry, but I can't resist. I'm a tea drinker and think the the tea that RCI now serves (First Tea) is awful. It's weak and has a flowery taste. Before RCI started serving First Tea they had Liptons and Twinings. Both are better teas. I now bring my own tea on a RCI cruise.

Pay attention.

This is why I have the Replenish Package and I believe this is a sinister ploy by RCL to get more people to take this package up. ;)

Hmm, I see a theme here. The Replenish Package serves lovely coffees (have had the package), and premium tea....guess which kind????

Bringing your own tea is a great idea. If there are kettles in the cabins, I bring my own coffee too. Maybe they'll install Kuerig machines one day!! :D

Here's another vote for Keurig machines!! I guess I'll have to get the cappuccino in the Diamond Lounge.

The coffee on Serenade was horrible in 2011. We sailed on Adventure last year, the first morning I went for the Starbucks and my husband had cafe promenade and said it was good. That's what I had after that and it was great, guess we'll see what it's like in a couple of weeks.

I am not a big coffee drinker but I do drink it. I don't like it strong. I prefer a light roast. When I'm cruising I get up early every morning to watch us pull into port. I always grab a cup of coffee from the Windjammer. I fill my cup half way with coffee and then top it off with hot water. To me, that's a pretty good cup of coffee.

this is the second thread going right now where people are talking about how bad the coffee is that RC serves ... and it IS horrible .. we were on Explorer this past June and all of us noticed ... don't remember it being this bad on our past RC cruises ... is this something new they've started doing ?

Maybe its their way of just getting us all to go and pay for the better stuff

I really hope they are watching this board like people say they do ... they need to so SOMETHING about that terrible coffee !!

Had no problem with the coffee some years ago. In fact, it was quite good. I think it's only since they started using the Seattle's Best. I still drink a cup or 2 at breakfast ('cause I HAVE TO HAVE coffee!), but usually add some hot water to it. Used to enjoy a cup after dinner, but no more.
