MikeC1610 Posted September 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2014 My family went on Celebrity Solstice earlier this year and we really enjoyed the lunch that was offered on 2 days in Murano. We are going on the Century in 4 weeks time and were wondering whether they also offer lunch in Murano. Can anybody confirm whether or not this is an option? Thanks
kitty9 Posted September 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2014 There's no way to know until you get on board. I've been on cruises where lunch was offered once and other cruises they didn't offer it at all.
bachcruise Posted September 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2014 I just returned from an 11 night cruise on the Century and I believe lunch in Murano was offered 3 times for $25 per person. We tried if for dinner 1 night and it was fantastic! Hopefully the lunch is offered on your cruise. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Lois R Posted September 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) Hi, I agree with Darcie (hey Darcie, good to see you:)).... You will have to wait until you board the ship and even then, they may not know for sure if lunch will be offered. It really depends on the amount of people who sign up. I was on CENTURY back in February and some of my rollcall mates and I wanted to have lunch there but the Maitr'd said they had to have a minimum......the amount was not made so they couldn't open the restaurant for only a group of 5......which I can understand. Hi Lois -- yes, I remember that too. A group of us were talking to the Murano Maitre'd about lunch in Murano, or even a cooking class. I remember him saying something about the cooking class being discontinued for "safety" reasons. Well, things must be safer in Summit's premier restaurant (Normandie) -- because, they were offering cooking class, last week. Sadly, we had a scheduling conflict for that one. happybos Posted September 14, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 14, 2014 I was wondering where is the best place on Century for lunch on embarkation day that is NOT the buffet? Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare Lois R Posted September 14, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 14, 2014 I was wondering where is the best place on Century for lunch on embarkation day that is NOT the buffet? Sent from my iPad using Forums The only place on Century would be The Aqua Spa Cafe. Century does not offer all the venues of the other ships. Oh, the grill at the pool might be open too. We loved the lunch in Murano on Solstice. Hopefully there will be enough demand for it on the Century. At $25 it's the best bang for your buck on the ship. Sent from my iPad using Forums As someone mentioned earlier, the aqua spa café is a great alternative. The grill is also open, and it is my favorite.
