BALCONIES on BRITTANIA

I didn't have to go to Butlins to know it wasn't for me. I have been to Benidorm, just for the day while staying in Spain. The hotels were like blocks of flats with tiny balconies, hence my analogy. I don't see why you are confused.

I agree sometimes on P&O I feel as if I've wandered accidentally into Butlins.

Anyhow as I've said Britannia will probably appeal to many people, it's just not my idea of a cruise ship. We all have our own likes and dislikes, which is understandable we are all different people.

I think we all get the message by now that you don't like big ships. Saying it over and over again won't change anyone's mind.

I see you edited your post. Wise move the original was a little rude I thought. I only replied because Presto 2 was confused. I didn't intend changing anyone's mind it was just my own personal point of view. I believe I'm entitled to have one.

Of course cruise holidays are like Butlins as the concept is similar. You get accomodation, food and entertainment is free, all on the same site. The standard of your hut (cabin) is better than the old Holiday camp style and the camp moves over night.

I have booked the biggest balcony on Brittania, an inside single about 30 feet from the lido deck ;)

We have booked to go on Brittania for the first 2 weeks of the Caribbean season. 1) We chose it as it will be my husband's 60th while we are onboard. 2)The itinerary was a great mix of new islands to visit, some seen once and a couple of favourites and 3) We like the dining options eg Glasshouse etc.

We enjoy the wide variety of venues that a larger ship can offer, our preference being Planet Bar as opposed to Brodies as an example, though I pop in for a drink and a play in the casino. I'm not sure I fancy the mega ships though. I'd never ever find my way round!:D

To be frank, I'm just happy to have the opportunity to enjoy a holiday. Where ever we go, be it 5* to 2*, Bellagio, Las Vegas or Benidorm we ALWAYS have a lovely time. And we've been both many times. JMHO:)
