fairywren Posted March 17, 2015 #426 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Well, I'm a bit miffed that the Sin - Perth ultimate is twice the price ($52) of the Bris - HGK. You would think the passenger demographics would be similar.:(
jd07 Posted March 17, 2015 #427 Share Posted March 17, 2015 The 10 day Singapore - hong king on legend in November ultimate package is twice the price of the Hong Kong to Brisbane cruise. As we are doing b2b it will cost $36 a day on average. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Gold Coast Cruisers Posted March 20, 2015 #428 Share Posted March 20, 2015 We're just off Voyager last Monday. Our friends had the package which is unlimited and I think they paid US$49.00 per person per day for the 11 days.
Bella99 Posted March 21, 2015 #429 Share Posted March 21, 2015 I'm wondering if it's because they are expecting passengers on the HKG cruises to contribute more to profits via the casino?
Gold Coast Cruisers Posted March 21, 2015 #430 Share Posted March 21, 2015 Yes you are probably right. The crew were telling us that the shops are sold out by day 3 on Asia cruises. The casino is in full swing and plenty of money is turned over. Some just staying in the casino until dawn.
jd07 Posted March 21, 2015 #431 Share Posted March 21, 2015 That is what i was told by an RCI rep. Apparently it is traditional for less money spent on drinks and more in the casino. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
jd07 Posted March 21, 2015 #432 Share Posted March 21, 2015 Well sounds like I will have more room in the bars and pool areas :) Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Bella99 Posted March 21, 2015 #433 Share Posted March 21, 2015 True. Have also heard they allow smoking in the casino on Asian cruises - no more short cuts for me! The sold out in 3 days in the shops is an interesting one - haven't been on Legend but don't imagine she would have more than 2 or 3?
timtam2 Posted March 21, 2015 #434 Share Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) I think the 'sold out in 3 days' is a bit of a stretch. Sold out of what? Ive been on 3 Mariner cruises from Singapore and havent had any problems. Edited March 21, 2015 by timtam2
jd07 Posted March 21, 2015 #435 Share Posted March 21, 2015 As long as everyone knows how to queue I will be happy. Empty shops and all :) Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

jd07 Posted April 16, 2015 #437 Share Posted April 16, 2015 I'm sure no cruise company offers anything for free :) Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Rare Port Power Posted April 16, 2015 #438 Share Posted April 16, 2015 (edited) I'm sure no cruise company offers anything for free :) Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk You do receive the beverage package for no charge, so I call that free. Otherwise prepaid gratuities or OBC. I guess that encourages you to book Celebrity rather than another brand, and it works. Celebrity have the promotion out again now, called "Pick Your Perk" this time. And yes, it is free. We had this package on Solstice last March. Our total bill of zeros over all beverages would have added up to $450or so each on the 12 night cruise. jd07 Posted April 16, 2015 #439 Share Posted April 16, 2015 What I meant was I'm sure it was built into the overall cost of your cruise. Cruise companies are out to make a profit and one of their biggest profit makers are drinks. So yes you did not 'pay' for the package but I'm sure you are paying in other ways. Thanks for any help with this if you've experienced the same [emoji3]
