Orlando flight times

We are on FOS cruise from Port Canaveral in August. How early a flight from Orlando could we book. Would 11:25 be ok given private transport from cruise to airport. Thanks

That time would be OK with me if I did self-assist disembarkation or had a fairly low luggage tag number. You would want to be outside the terminal by about 8:30am to give yourself some leeway in case of delay, or long lines at security.

That would be about the earliest I would try for. You never know what could slow down your debarkation. Weather, customs problems, etc.

 

I just prefer not to have to rush off the ship, but if you have your own transport arranged, that does take some pressure off.

I would still take a later flight if possible. If the highway to MCO gets closed because of an accident . The drive to MCO could about 2 hours or more.

Had a 12:10pm flight last time and that was NOT the way I wanted to end our vacation. We were delayed getting off the ship then there was only 2 custom agents working. Didn't hit any traffic but if we had we would have missed the flight. No fun stressing the entire morning, never again.

If you are motivated you can make it. I would so self disembarkation as early as you can and line up a driver before. TSA lines in Orlando get quite long and slow so you want to beat the rush. You may end up sitting in the airport longer than you might like, but it's worth it to us to get home early. We have done it 2 times from FOS for an 11 something flight and had no issues.

Thanks everyone for your responses. We'll try self disembarkation, and hope for the best. Our flight choices are limited.

I'd rather stress than wait for hours and hours for a late flight!!! Go for it!
