Rare alrichards4003 Posted February 28, 2015 Author #154 Share Posted February 28, 2015 Thank you for your great review - not going on Pride for quite awhile, but reading your review is helping me to get through this cold winter. Do you know or remember if they allowed kids into the serenity area to get their parents? Just wondering if my 10 and 13 year old will be able to reach my wife and I if we are in the area. Do you remember which day they did the towel animal display and how long they left it up? My kids are late sleepers, but I know this is something they are going to want to see. I did not see any kids, but I can't imagine they would not be allowed to reach you. Sitting in the hot tub may be a different story. The towel animal day was the sixth day. They have a Lido channel on the tv and you could look at that each morning in case they do it a different day.
Rare alrichards4003 Posted February 28, 2015 Author #155 Share Posted February 28, 2015 Just found your review and read it all at once! We will be on a B2B on the Pride in May. Only spirit class ship we have not been on and we are super excited, and especially more now after seeing your pictures and reading your review. We usually sail from our home port in NY, but we have sailed Splendor 3x and want to try something new,so we will drive to Baltimore. My buddy Jamman will be on Pride in April, I'll be on her in May and an "old friend" Kat/Kath in June! Hey, guys, someday we should sail together! :cool:Thanks for sharing your cruise with us. The towel animals are a HOOT. What a great job they did! :):):) Thanks. Sounds like you will have a great time. I have seen the towel animals on other cruises, but never this many and never the really large ones that were dressed up.

Crusin Karen Posted February 28, 2015 #157 Share Posted February 28, 2015 Thanks. Sounds like you will have a great time. I have seen the towel animals on other cruises, but never this many and never the really large ones that were dressed up. Have heard of the towel animal invasion and even seen some pictures in reviews, but we have never had it on any of our cruises except our last one on Liberty and believe it or not, we were on a B2B and they didn't have it on the lst cruise, but did on the 2nd!:confused: But nothing like the ones on your cruise!! We have had on our last 3: Sunshine, Breeze and Pride. Surprised the one on Pride was the biggest, considering the size of the Breeze and it being considered to be the flagship of the line. Rare alrichards4003 Posted February 28, 2015 Author #159 Share Posted February 28, 2015 I had previously scheduled a pedicure as one of the port day specials. I moved it to 1:30, so decided to eat lunch. I got in the line for burritos, and had the shrimp burrito, I did not realize the other side was for tacos. This is the first time I had lunch at Blue Iguana, the hours are short and I always seemed to miss on the other cruises. image by alrichards4003, on Flickr During my treatment the tech. told me about her friend on the Liberty and that they were able to dock, but that the Liberty was a much larger than Pride. We docked at Puerta Maya again. We had not been to Carlos and Charlies for several years. We took a cab to the other pier. Carlos and Charlie's was closed and had been incorporated into Señor Frogs. image by alrichards4003, on Flickr image by alrichards4003, on Flickr image by alrichards4003, on Flickr image by alrichards4003, on Flickr
Rare alrichards4003 Posted February 28, 2015 Author #160 Share Posted February 28, 2015 Bahama Mama image by alrichards4003, on Flickr They gave us popcorn in what we saw as being a dog bowl. DH said he tasted lime in the popcorn, but he also had a beer with a lime in it. image by alrichards4003, on Flickr We ordered the fried cheese and chicken sampler. There was so much food. image by alrichards4003, on Flickr image by alrichards4003, on Flickr image by alrichards4003, on Flickr
Rare alrichards4003 Posted February 28, 2015 Author #161 Share Posted February 28, 2015 We returned to the ship and went to the casino bar and then the sports bar. I had the MVP, it was $1 off. image by alrichards4003, on Flickr Later we went to the piano bar. The bartender said she was not playing since she needed a break, she had played the night before when she was supposed to be off. She told us she would be playing the next night, but ended up not playing. We went to the comedy club, but by the time we got there it was standing room only, neither of us were up to standing around for 45 minutes so we left and went to the lido deck. I wanted a slice of pizza, there was a line and he was making pizzas made to order. He asked how many slices each person wanted and most said entire pizza. I asked for 4 cheese and mushroom, he asked how many slices and I said 2. He had them ready. The picture is blurry, but the only one I have. I am someone who likes both thin and thick crust. These pizzas have a very thin crust. image by alrichards4003, on Flickr That was it for the day. I was going to bed, the last day of the cruise was coming up and there was a lot I wanted to do. image by alrichards4003, on Flickr

Rare alrichards4003 Posted February 28, 2015 Author #169 Share Posted February 28, 2015 We went to the comedy show, which we thought was even better than the other one we saw. It was then music and casino and drinks and we finally made it back to the room. image by alrichards4003, on Flickr image by alrichards4003, on Flickr Since we hadn't had room service the entire cruise , DH decided we needed to order it, I had a grilled cheese sandwich and he had a blt. image by alrichards4003, on Flickr image by alrichards4003, on Flickr image by alrichards4003, on Flickr
jg51 Posted February 28, 2015 #170 Share Posted February 28, 2015 Thanks for all the information and great photos. If you could put up pictures of the Saturday "Fun Times" (that is the one delivered Friday night) -- at least the detailed list of activities at each hour of the day -- that would be much appreciated. fuzz508pd Posted March 2, 2015 #171 Share Posted March 2, 2015 Great review thank you! Where was the room in the pictures? At least what level. How did you feel the smaller ship handled? I did a cruise on Celebrity out of Baltimore and it tended to be a little rough at times.
