NCL Getaway Studio - Should I??

Just arrived from The Getaway last week. I cant imagine cruising without the balcony. They were slightly small but worth having. Great way to start the day.

Yeah, for a week long cruise I normally book at least an OV. This was kind of an unplanned cruise. I may upgrade, not sure. :D

I do love the balconies!

Considering trying a Studio cabin on the Getaway. Anyone have any commits good or bad?

I know I will miss the mornings on the balcony with a cup of coffee

I sailed in my first studio on Epic last December. I really enjoyed the cabin. The only way you will know how you like it is to try it. That said, if you really love having a balcony, you should probably choose one. But you could choose a studio and use the Waterfront as your balcony. Good luck with your choice. :)

I love NCL's Studios. Small yes; but very well-designed and perfectly adequate. In my eyes, preferable to a standard inside cabin.

If I only had two weeks a year to cruise, I could justify to myself the indulgence of a balcony. However, if the choice is between four cruises in a Studio or two cruises in a Balcony, there is no competition... There is also enough money left over to pay for the Vibe Beach Club pass...

Kind regards

For now I think I am going to try the Studio.

I've sailed in Solo Studios on both the Epic and the POA, and it's a good value. If your cruise is port-intensive, you don't spend that much time in your room. I found a couple of nice quiet places on deck with comfortable loungers to sit, read, and enjoy the salt air. On my Epic cruise, I paid for a spa pass and used the loungers on their balcony there occasionally.

The Solo Studio has plenty of space for one, and was very comfortable. I also enjoyed the lounge and meet-ups on the Epic. The POA only has four SS staterooms, so that was a totally different experience!

I had a studio on the Epic and loved it. Then I booked them on my last 2 Breakaway cruises but upgraded to Balconies.

I don't know how I would feel about going back to a studio (due to higher prices and no last minute discounts and no single discounts these days)

On one hand, I didn't spend much time in the room but on the other hand it was much better in terms of unpacking and I did like the extra space.

For my next Breakaway, I might just get one again- or skip a cruise this year and get one next year.

However, some of the following year Breakaway studios are $799 which in my opinion is still a good deal
