If you did not have FTTP...

I was reading a thread last night where some ladies were talking about stalking the page for it & someone had luckily grabbed one that came open (guessing it was sold out?)

Can someone tell me how to do this? I can't seem to find anything & I consider myself pretty computer literate

Nevermind! Found it -

For anyone else who may be looking - it's under Excursions, but you have to scroll further than you would think :) It will show you if any are available. If not, they say to check back daily/frequently/middle of the night! Ours had three left.

FTTF gives you priority boarding, debarkation, special line for Guest Services, priority tender and priority for pre-cruise dining assignments.

FTTF does not include priority dining assignments for Your Time Dining (just to clarify). FTTF also includes priority luggage delivery on embarkation day.

Yep, no one gets Front of Line privileges (unless the hostess sees you and calls you forward :))

Depends on the situation. We had it in NYC for our trip on the SPLENDOR and, because we were with my brother, who couldn't stand for a long period of time, I'm glad we did. We got to the pier and it was packed. In that case, it worked well.

Last year we skipped it on our trip on the BREEZE out of Miami and it took about 15 minutes to check in and be called to board.

Got it last year, but no one was able to get to cabins until around 2:00. So I was with everyone else lugging carry on.

Had it for a cruise the year before and loved it. We like being able to drop off carry on in cabin. I have been trying to get it for our cruise the end of Sept., but so far sold out. If I don't get it, I'll manage and have an extra $50 for drinks. ;)

I am Platinum and in a cabin with my granddaughter. My son and daughter-in-law have FTTF. I probably will not get off the ships in the ports as I have been to them many times, but they haven't.

One of our ports is a tender port and they have a private tour booked, so I thought FTTF was the way to go. I am also not one who "bends" the rules and says you can put your carry on in my cabin or who cares if I just drop off the carryon. If the cabin isn't ready, put the carryon in the closet etc. To me, those people have no morals and I know I will get flamed for it. On other lines "guards" are posted so those who don't qualify, don't get to go there, and I agree with that too.

I am not a goody two shoes, but I do try to follow the rules. Do I want to have to spend $50 for that privilege? No, but if it makes their cruise better, so be it. I know we all have ideas of how we spend our money, but if I have a drink less or spend less in the casino, so be it. It's all a matter of priority and for us, it's worth it.

On my trip on the Dream it would have been worth it! Our trip on the Liberty would have been a waste. We got to PC at 11am. we waited in the check in lines and when I got our cards I asked the Guy what number were they boarding? We had 20. they were on 12. 5 min later they said all numbers come on up. we were on the lido deck at 1145

It may be worth it for cruises with tender ports, but for embarkation, I don't think so. I've never bought FTTF and I don't think I've even been onboard later than around noon on any cruise I've taken, with the exception of one cruise on another line that had a very long delay for a noro outbreak cleaning.

When FTTF first came out this question was VERY popular. Someone posted something I remember. It went something like, "the value of $50 is different for everyone" While my husband works the big job that supports us, I work as a daycare provider for cruise and kid money (that's what I call it). And while $50 dollars is a small portion of his salary, it's a good 1/2 day work with 1 year olds for me, so not worth it. If you are patient, and don't mind waiting a bit to get on, or for a tender, not in a hurry to get off, it's not worth it. To some people, it is absolutely worth it . Only you really know the value of it for you.

I think this sums it up perfectly. We have traveled with FTTF and without it, and I could go either way about it. Time & money are both commodities.......decide which you want to spend. Have a great cruise! :)

We are going on our first Carnival cruise in March 2016. I am considering FTTF for being able to get in our room early so we can drop off our carry-ons & CPAP's & to pick up hubby's mobility scooter. To me, I think that $50.00 is well worth it.

We were on the Magic 4/5 to 4/12. We didn't have FTTF and it didn't bother me to not have it the whole cruise. We didn't arrive at the dock until around 1:00. The line of people to check in was just outside the door in Galveston, but we still got through it pretty quickly I thought. Since we arrived later the cabins were ready. We had one tender port, but we didn't have an early excursion so we hopped on the first one available when we were ready.

We never used guest services.

When the cruise was over, we were provided a pretty high disembark number (21). We hung around the casino when one of the crew came buy and told us to go ahead and leave even though they had only called numbers up to 10.

If I cruise again, I won't buy it next time either.

Huge waste of money. We never get it, and have never thought we missed anything because of it.

It's funny how you think it's a huge waste of money and yet you have never tried it to see how your cruise experience might be different.

If you have never gotten it you have absolutely no idea as to whether it is a waste of money or not.

Select the port that you are sailing from and you won't have to scroll at all. :)
