Cab or hotel shuttle in FLL?

Hi -

We are in FLL now (at the Cambria Inn) and going on the Indy tomorrow [emoji2]. The hotel shuttle is $8 per person (2of us). It leaves on the hour. Should we take the shuttle or a cab? Also, what time should we leave/get there? RCI called and left messages telling us to get there at 12:30, which my DH is taking to heart. What are your thoughts?!

I would take a taxi and plan to arrive around 11am.

We too agree, having sailed out of this port twice and the anticipation of getting to the ship, we always walk out the front of the hotel (embassy) and board one of the waiting cabs.

You can pre-request one a day ahead, but dont fret, their are many cabs in FLL.

Enjoy

We had the same options from the Hyatt and decided just to get the taxi.. There were 4 of us so worked out cheaper anyway...

As we ordered the cab the lady pointed out the shuttle was in waiting and doing nothing and taxi would be awhile. Thought bugger to it and got on shuttle. We were only ones on and left immediately so very luckly..

If shuttle is in and waiting jump in, otherwise taxi it

While the cost for 2 people is relatively the same, you will get there much more quickly and directly if you take a cab.

We fell into the hotel's spiel to use their shuttle once, which was 'waiting and ready to leave'. Fast forward 15 minutes later we finally left the hotel. Never again.

Not the best way to start a relaxing vacation.
