Disembark in Copenhagen - enough time to catch flight?

Hello! I am looking at a flight from Copenhagen to Frankfurt that departs at 9:55am on the day we disembark. Is this cutting it too close? We are sailing with NCL. It's just my husband and I and we don't mind carrying our own bags.

Thank you!

In 2007, we had an incredible flight offer roundtrip from Newark to Copenhagen. The catch was the return flight was scheduled for 9AM. Both the cruise line, Princess, and our TA told us it was too early. So we stayed over a day in Copenhagen.

When we got our luggage tags, DW said to me, "There is a tag for Continental Airline flights at 9 AM." I looked, and she was right. And there was an even earlier tag for flights before 8 AM.

I'm not saying that this guarantees you can make your flight, I'm just sharing our experience.

We had a horrible experience in Copenhagen where many ships docked at the same time and people waited in line for hours to get transportation. Check to find out if there are other ships docking the same morning and go to the ports of call section and read what others have posted about getting to the airport for an early flight. Lots of good info on these boards.

Travel much? There's no way, you'd make it...

Off the ship

To the airport

Clear security

Clear any other "international" screening

Get on the plane

...in the allotted time.

Unless you've been to Copenhagen before, why not get the most of your airfare by staying in in town for a couple of additional days?

We were in the first group to get off the ship, on to a waiting taxi, and by 10 am we were at the gate. It's possible you will make it on your flight, but too risky.

Do you check luggage in? You must check in your suitcase one hour before the flight, I think.

The Copenhagen airport is HUGE, very busy and lines for security and check in can take a very long time. You must be ON the plane at least 20 minutes before departure. I wouldn't book a flight before noon.
