Hi,

I am booked on the Summit and realized my cabin balcony has an overhang from above. Changed to 9157 but am wondering if the problem is with every cabin at that location?

Thanks for your help!!!

You won't be getting a sunburn while sitting outside. That's for sure. The overhang is significant.

That Deck 9 overhang can be a plus or a minus, depending on whether you prefer sun or shade.

But either way, it is a plus on rainy days because it gives you full use of your balcony and keeps you dry no matter how hard it may be raining.

Just returned last Sunday and was in 9112. There was an overhang but I saw it as a total advantage. It was misty or raining from time to time so could sit out there and enjoy anyway. The balconies are small so its not like you can sit out there an sunbath. Even with the humidity it was pleasant to sit out there when there was breeze. Room seemed cooler too.

I'm looking forward to not worrying about getting even more sun on the balcony :)

We're going to be in 9112 at the end of August. Was there any noise from above? Or did you find the cabin quiet?

Thanks

You will LOVE this cabin location! I must have said to my husband every day how much I loved the location. Covered balcony was awesome. Absolutely no noise from above. I think one day I could barely make out some pool music. We had the balcony doors open at all different times during the day. You are only 6 doors down from the stairs. SUPER QUIET! No one across the hall. Up one flight of stairs and you turn one way to the pool and the other to the buffet. Just past the stairs on 9 (waling with the library to your right) and you are at the center elevators which take you right down to where you leave and enter the boat! Zip down to 5 for dinner, shows and shopping and 4 for the casino! I would book this room again in a heartbeat! If you have Susan as your room steward tell her hi from "Miss Leslie" she was great!

Awesome! Thanks so much!

Noise was the only thing I was concerned about. I'm excited to experience the location. I will most certainly pass on your best wishes ;)

Can't wait to get on board!

On deck nine the overhang is about 12 feet so no worry about the sun. We like Aqua so it is deck nine or 11. For us 11 is out as there is no shade except a canvass top to the balcony and these cabins were added, it has always looked to me there was a lot of motion up there. Back to deck nine, I do not like the overhand as it makes the room dark, you really can not look up, and it makes me feel closed in when on the balcony.

I agree 100%; no sunshine on the balcony any time of day. I do realize this is a plus for some.

I understand the concerns about darkness in the cabin. It's a fair trade off for me. I'm fair, with red hair and green eyes. I have to be careful about sun exposure so the ability to go out on the balcony at any time of day and not worry about sun is a big plus! Especially since we'll be getting lots of sun at the beach :)
