Are floatation devices allowed in the pool?

Taking my 5 year old on the Pride in a couple days and wondering if floatation devices like that thing you wear around your waist are allowed in the pool.

The FAQ says the following about Flotation Devices: For the comfort of all our guests, rafts, tubes and floatation devices other than those used as life preservers (water wings) cannot be used in the swimming pools on board"

 

It would seem the tummy tube can be considered a "life preserver".

We had our 3 year old in a puddle jumper, it's great and not an issue. The weight range is for 30-50 pounds.

Basically if it is close to the body it is fine. They don't want rafts or tubes in the pool.

I've had my child in a puddle jumper and his own life jacket and had no problems. I think they mean no rafts, noodles, inner tubes, etc.

It's a good and very fair rule. Works great for all concerned! :)

I think the one that goes around the tummy like this would be fine.

 

They don't want big tubes that you can sit it taking up space and possibly causing a hazard should it flip over while a child is sitting in it.

Those rings are fine. You see them on board all the time.

Water wings are better...there is little room for any kind of float or toy...the pools are small and packed!
