I have been on 7 other cruises but never Princess so I have a few questions . We are going to be on a 7 day and the first day we are at Princess cay and the 2nd is a day at sea so which days are formals on? Also need to know which day they would do the chefs table since our 20th anniversary is one of those 7 days and we are doing a specialty restaurant that day. Thank you !

Most likely the sea day will be a formal night. As for the Chef's Table, there is no regular schedule. Sometimes they have it on a cruise and occasionally they don't. I have been told that they never have it on a formal night because they want people to be comfortable. I have done it several times and it has never been on a formal night.

There's no specific day for the Chef's Table. Whether there's one or not is up to the Head Chef. Your best bet is to sign up at the Passenger Services Desk after boarding.

Formal nights are the Captain's decision. They are usually the 2nd or 3rd night and on a 7-day cruise, either the 4th or 5th night. It's never embarkation day or the night before disembarkation. It could very well be the night you go to Princess Cays.

Sign up by calling the DINE line from your cabin or speaking with a headwaiter in a dining room or the Maitre d'.

And do so as soon as possible after boarding.

Each occasion of the Chef's Table only accommodates about 12 passengers, and depending on the length of the cruise, may only be offered once or twice .... if at all, so you want your names to be at the top of the list.

It was limited to 10 people for our two CT's.
