Alaska time changes

Going from SFO are there any time changes? Also, how late is it still still daylight this time of year?

Leaving tomorrow. So excited!!

Yes, there is one change. The change will be announced in the Princess Patter the day before it occurs and on the day before it changes back and all clocks on the ship will change automatically, which I'm sure you already knew or expected.

I hope that you have a great cruise!

At this time of year, it does not stay light really late, the way it does in June and early July.

Right now, it is probably dark by 10pm. It will be getting dark by 9pm, the first week in September.

Alaska is great, light or dark!!! I have been on 13 Alaska cruises, in the months of June, July, August, and September. Always fantastic!

Bon voyage:)

There'll be two time changes, to AST, and back to PST. AST is off by one hour compared to PST.

For the 7-day runs out of Seattle, the changes happen the morning into Ketchikan (an extra hour before three days in port - yay!), and the first at-sea morning after Skagway (lose an hour on a sea day...works for me!).

Today in Ketchikan the sun rise was at 5.25am AKDT and will set at 8:14pm AKDT.

The Length of Visible Light is 16h 12m

Juneau and Skagway are pretty much the same, give or take a few minutes.Everyday now it will get a little shorter, by about 5 minutes.

Sunrise today in Anchorage was at 6:15A.

Sunset is at 9:49P today in Anchorage.

Today there will be 15 hours, 33 minutes and 27 seconds of daylight.

We are losing about 5 minutes of daylight each day this time of year.

Daylight hours will shorten some for locations south of Anchorage.

Thanks for this definitive and precise answer.

Likewise excellent and definitive, pertaining to the OP's San Francisco cruise.

Enjoy!
