CruiseDancer Posted September 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2015 I tried searching, but did not see anything. My son will be going on a trip through the school (chorus and orchestra) in April. Part of the trip includes a cruise. Of course, since this is through the school, I have absolutely nothing to do with any of the planning or being able to see the trip in his cruise planner. My question is - how will we go about getting C&A points for the cruise? Thanks.

CruiseDancer Posted September 18, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted September 18, 2015 Thanks for the quick response. I will have to go through the chorus director to see if he will pass on the information to the travel agent. I don't even know who that is at this point. Thanks, again. tropiclvrs Posted September 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2015 I would think it can also be added upon check-in Either in person or at the port. No?

CruiseDancer Posted September 18, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted September 18, 2015 I'm a certified teacher-- can I chaperone???? Sorry, but they wouldn't even let the parents, who have volunteer certifications, chaperone on this one. My son was disappointed since he knows how much I love cruising. Now, another son will probably be going on a cruise next summer with a friend, and I will again be sitting at home.
Iamthesea Posted September 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) What ship? Are the student performing on the ship? I would not like it if parents could not go along on the cruise. Can't you book the cruise even if you are not a chaperone? Edited September 18, 2015 by Iamthesea

Is the entire ship chartered? If not, they can't really stop you from taking the same cruise.

This is my thought too...I may not be officially a chaperone, but I would be on that ship! But, if it's been chartered for a high school event, not sure I'd want to be the adults in charge of all those hormonal teens! LOL
Rare John&LaLa Posted September 19, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 19, 2015 We had a high school orchestra on our Freedom cruise in June. Karaoke was an eye opener
