A Sixth? Posted December 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 19, 2015 The Captain and officers are in uniform so I assume that hasn't changed but for those who have seen it, how are the guests lucky enough to get an invite dressed?
rwb Posted December 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2015 Good question. Under the new guidelines there will be several different officers tables in different dining venues on those nights, so you might also ask if people are dressing differently for different officer hosts. My assumption is that people will dress in the clothes they brought to wear on those nights. After all, they didn't know they would be invited to the table when they packed for that one night (or two on longer cruises).
Oville Posted December 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2015 There was no Captain's table last week on the Connie, the officers were not dressed in formal uniforms, and captain along with a few fellow officers ate in Luminae on Chic night. Two nights later he did dine in Luminae with a group of cruisers. Truth be told, it was a bit of a distraction, read not so great Luminae service, when the captain was in Luminae. This captain is great but the Luminae staff's attention to others was lacking.

cruzzzinma Posted December 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 19, 2015 We were on the Connie transatlantic in November. The Captain's Table seems to have been turned into small groups served at a high top in Cellar Masters. Hosts were various senior officers. When we were on the Reflection the Captain made an appearance in Luminee after the MDG on "formal night" I think that was before Chic night started December 4th.?? Captain's Tables in the MDR have ended. Charles, you are quite right. Hope you are both doing well. Katie
