soozles Posted December 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2015 Any other busty women out there? I'm large chested, and finding bathing suits that keep me decent and give me support is such a struggle. I can never find anything in a store, I order all my swimsuits online. And it better have underwire and straps. No halters. It stinks, I can't get picky with color or pattern cause very few suits are my size. Lately I've had the most luck with panache or freya swimsuits, they are sold in bra sizes so it's usually a good fit. If I find something off the rack that covers the girls, it's usually too big everywhere else which is why I just go for the bra sizes now. I just ordered 2 new suits for my upcoming cruise. Hopefully they work well. Any other ladies care to commiserate?
luvscruising2007 Posted December 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 22, 2015 I am not big busted but I like SwimSuits for All. If you get a 2 piece you order top and bottom by size. I'm not sure about one piece but check out their website. They have a multitude of colors and styles. Also shipping is very quick. Good luck! I hope what you have recently ordered works out for you. Rare Lois R Posted December 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 22, 2015 Hi, I went shopping for bathing suits earlier this year and I have to tell you, if you live near a Dillard's, they had the best selection of swimsuits I had seen in a long, long time. I was so surprised:) (this was back in the spring)....I am also busty and they had a lot of choices. Not many were on sale (when I went) but it was worth the price.... they fit me and had some very nice patterns too!
islandgirlejfan Posted December 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 22, 2015 I order from Swimsuits for All. I find the reviews are very helpful if you take time to read them. I like bathing suits with soft cups, not a lot of padding in them. I have more of a problem with getting the bathing suit to pull up as I'm long waisted. I just got two really nice ones on clearance. cb at sea Posted December 22, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 22, 2015 There are LOTS of swimwear companies that sell "separates"..so you can accommodate the "girls" and still find a matching bottom...and they do sell some cute ones! If you are ok without trying things on, online is your best bet. I don't know where you live, but we have a swimwear store in our town (larger cities tend to have them, especially, in coastal area) where you can go and try things on. I live in NY so I feel like it might exist, but I haven't found them. I've seen in some smaller lingerie boutiques they may carry a few suits, but usually much more expensive. I tried swimsuits for all, but had a tough time navigating the site. I ended up ordering from her room, so I'll see when they arrive how they fit. I just want to be comfortable at the beach. These are the ones I ordered http://m.herroom.com/panache-sw0931-annalise-molded-balconnet-tankini-swim-top.shtml http://m.herroom.com/panache-sw0760-isobel-swimsuit.shtml
Beth8649 Posted December 23, 2015 #9 Share Posted December 23, 2015 I'm 44DD and I order from swimsuitsforall, too. They have really nice beach covers, too!!!
NorthernLite Posted December 24, 2015 #10 Share Posted December 24, 2015 Lands End covers as far as at least DD and sells as separates. Pretty good selection normally. They also sell swim shoes.

After years of being fitted in standard dept stores as a 36DD or DDD and finding the band to be way too loose but with muffin top, I finally was fitted at a Nordstroms and found I'm 32F-32H depending on the brand - mostly European & British brands like Freya, Fantasie, Panache, Chantelle. What a difference! I ordered the Annalise tankini top and had to return it. I find the Panache try to push everything to the front and it felt awkward. I had very good luck with these 2 styles: http://www.herroom.com/fantasie-fs5433-montreal-twist-front-tankini-swim-top.shtml http://www.barenecessities.com/product.aspx?pfid=FreyaAS3026&cm_mmc=GLPA_NonBrand-_-Swimwear-_-Freya102-_-FreyaAS3026&BillboardPopupEnabled=false&BorderfreeEnabled=False&source=gbase&cmp=bpp20&adpos=1o3&creative=76122988735&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=Cj0KEQiAzO6zBRC25Ju1idGJiZkBEiQAP3Sf6Dgo4iVoopELOa2FZOtXfxTfqpvSLJTnblpHCLSEhQYaAqtU8P8HAQ which I wore after I decided 'the heck with it' and bought a 2 piece for the first time in many years for my 60th birthday cruise. They are expensive, but with both the bras and swimtops once I find a size and style I like, I can often find them better priced on eBay - new with or without tags. soozles Posted December 25, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted December 25, 2015 Just got my swimsuits in the mail. I'm happy, they fit well and keep things where they need to be. The only annoying thing is it's difficult getting the tankini on and off because of the underwire, and the built in bra. I kind of have to do a reach behind to fasten it. But once it's on, it fits well. delacruz, I love that freya top. I actually have another freya swimsuit that I love, it's a 2 piece as well, but my tummy is a little fluffier than it used to be, so I'm not comfortable showing my belly right now. uprivermama Posted December 26, 2015 #13 Share Posted December 26, 2015 I have had the best luck with Panache, Freya, and Fantasie brands. I ordered a Curvy Kate tankini top that I think I'm going to like too. I don't even bother shopping in stores for swim tops anymore--just a waste of time for me. Amazon has been a good source for those brands, and I've found some great tankini tops for less than $20, but the size availability is usually pretty lacking. Ebay is my second favorite site. Finally you've got the specialty lingerie sites--Bigger Bras, Breakout Bras, Lindas Online, etc. Just google your cup size + swim wear and you'll have plenty of options. And as far as getting these supportive tops on and fastened, my DH has gotten pretty used to fastening the inner-bra fastener for me! If I have to tie his ties, this seems only fair to me! Wndrwomn Posted December 31, 2015 #15 Share Posted December 31, 2015 http://Www.Sunsetsseparates.com http://Www.swimsystems.net I have been wearing these two brands for about 10years now, I used to go to a store that custom made swimwear and competition suits for fitness and body building competitions, solo expensive. I hated that with my large bust I could not find anything that made me feel comfortable. One day I saw a girl with a really nice suit on, she looked like the same chest size as me so I asked about her suit (Sunsets) and I've been wearing them ever since! They're not only supportive, but they're beautiful and don't make you look like you're wearing a bra.
Wndrwomn Posted December 31, 2015 #16 Share Posted December 31, 2015 Let me clarify lol A lot of the suits for bustier women are nice fabrics fashioned in the same exact way as a bra, so even tho you're wearing something with cool swimwear fabric, it still looks like a *bra*. Sunsets and Swim System are constructed to look like a swimsuit, not a bra, but they're just as supportive as a bra :)
mrswallace2012 Posted January 18, 2016 #17 Share Posted January 18, 2016 I too am a busty girl but I still want to look cute ! I also have hips and thighs :p I bought my very high waisted bikini from http://www.swimsuitsforall.com There are TONS of options for every shape and size, they aren't crazy cheap but they aren't overly expensive either. Mine was 40 bucks (ish) but excellent quality. Well worth it !!:):):)
luvscruising2007 Posted January 23, 2016 #18 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Snow is falling, temps are cold so I did the only thing a girl could do. I just ordered two bathing suits from Swimsuits for all. Got sale prices on all items and saved over 50%. Now, I just have to wait until April to wear them.
