Opinions?

Need some opinions. I have narrowed down my vacation options to 2 cruises. Option 1 is a 6 day on the Valor(port canaveral) going to Nassau, Amber Cove, and Grand Turk. Option 2 is a 7 day on the Ecstasy(Charleston) doing two overnights in Bermuda. I've never been to Amber Cove or Bermuda. Due to a Casino offer both are about the same price. Which would you choose and why? Thanks for the help!

2 weeks ago on Valor, I found Amber Cove port to be a disappointment (just a few shops - many empty stores - and a pool). And the nearest town, Puerto Plata, was a disappointment also.

 

The road improvements between the port & Puerto Plata have stalled out, so most of taxi or transport ride is on old road choked with traffic

I love going to the beach so I would select option 1 love Grand Turk and would like to check out Amber Cove.

I find Bermuda boring....pick the other option!

Bermuda is quiet but there are fun things to do. The pink beach is something to see. When you go, there is an ice cream shop on the way to airport that serves a great lime sherbert. You must try one.

Love Bermuda. Very classy Island. A lot to explore there.

I would pick Bermuda simply because it's much harder to get there than to Amber Cove. Do Bermuda and enjoy it and then you can pick from hundred of itineraries that include Amber Cove.

Amber Cove was built without having a beach (as in Grand Turk), so one must get a day pass for the Ru resort or sign up for an off-site beach excursion.
