Today, Feb 18, DH received a text from Citi Bank stating that he had just withdrawn $330 at a NYC location. Fortunately, he read the text and immediately contacted the bank to cancel any transactions.

Unknowingly, my husband's Wells Fargo debit card was "skimmed" at Cape Liberty sometime between Feb 6 and Feb 10 2016.

Wells Fargo has contacted our other credit cards to warn them of possible unauthorized activity. According to Wells Fargo this has occurred several times at Cape Liberty.

I'm sure that Cape Liberty is not the only public space that has this kind of illegal activity.

Just a word to the wise, secure your personal information and electronic cards.

We didn't use an ATM or our charge cards in the port.

:mad::mad:

How do you ( or Wells Fargo) know that the skimming took place at Port Liberty? - it's one thing to know that the charge was put through at some NY location - but identifying location where skimming ( but apparently no transaction) took place ?????
